When your son asks Santa for pretend cockroaches in his stocking I was relieved to discover they ARE actually for sale, and they DO look like cockroaches! It's given him lots of pleasure scaring the whatsits out of his friends and family.

4.0 out of 5 stars The London Eye Mystery, 15 April 2010
This review is from: The London Eye Mystery (Paperback)
An interesting book, featuring a child with one type of Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Asperger's Syndrome. It gives an insight into their abilities and weaknesses, however as ASD covers such a large spectrum, this may only relate to one specific type of ASD/AS child.

Having a high functioning ASD child I was recommended that the book would be helpful for him and his peers to read, to understand him better. However, as much as the book was interesting and entertaining in its own right, it bore no relationship to the way my child thinks and functions, and so it was therefore of no help to share with him or his class.

As a general mystery story for children over 10, this was highly entertaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars Daewoo Microwave, 12 Dec. 2009
After checking out Which? guide to microwaves and deciding this one was probably the best performance for the cheapest price, I bought it for my mother, who at 80, also needed one that was easy to operate. She was thrilled that it arrived just 3 days after ordering, and is stylish, simple to operate and works brilliantly. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some microwaves, but that's not what she needed.

5.0 out of 5 stars A useful guide for the child as well as for friends and family, 11 Oct. 2009
We were looking for a book to help our 10-year old son understand how he is different, and this is written very simply and is incredibly informative. His class teacher is using it to help the children in his class understand him better, and his older sister found it helpful too. Highly recommended, easy and quick to read, and a huge help in tackling the difficult subject with our son.
