This film wasnt nearly as funny as i thought it would be, so feel a bit let down. The lead character is a complete cringe but i did like the romantic subplot between her and the officer (Roy from the IT crowd), i would wait for it to go down in price before purchasing.

Took me a little while to get into this book but once i did i was hooked! Was really dissapointed with the ending though as it felt like the story built up for so long and then within one tiny chapter it was all over and felt i wanted to know more about the things that were missed out but overall i did enjoy it

4.0 out of 5 stars Running Trax, 2 Jan 2011
This review is from: Running Trax (Audio CD)
I bought this CD for only [...]- what a bargain!! Its a great continuous mix of songs, some i love and some i dont recognise but if they get you moving it doesnt matter. Only problem is that this CD arrived before my new running trainers arrived so have only been able to bob around my room to this so far but i am loving it, makes me look forward to working out and getting fit for the new year!

4.0 out of 5 stars Divas Dont Knit, 27 Jun 2010
This review is from: Divas Don't Knit (Paperback)
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I am a knitter but i dont think that is required in order to like this book. There are some lovely characters and i found myself laughing out loud due to some of the interactions/dialouge between the main character and her two children. I only wish i could run off and set up my own wool shop as it seemed like the characers were all having such fun! I am definatley going to be reading the sequel!!

I found this book interesting but utterly un-realistic. Obviously realism is not essential for a good book, but some things that happened in this i just found a bit silly and rather random at times. This is also full of religious context and i found myself skimming at times as its not something that i am usually interested in reading about so be warned on that front if that isnt your thing. However i had previously never read a book with characters speaking from the prespective of being in prision, which i actually found really interesting and also discovering how a court case surrounding a death sentence actually takes place- morbid but definatley insightful!

3.0 out of 5 stars The Half Blood Prince, 27 April 2010
I originally went to see this at the cinema and while i enjoyed some of the funnier scenes in the middle and the dramatic effects at the begining, i was left generally a bit dissapointed with this film. I have read all the books so of course base the films when i watch them on that, however even though i know that these are only 'adaptations' i still feel like a lot of things were left out... for example the ending would have been a lot nicer to have had the funeral like they did with the book and had all the characters and mystical creatures gathered together instead of them just staring off into the sunset from a tower. Splitting it into 2 films like they are doing with the final book probably would have been a better idea and would have prevented all the dramatic scene chopping and cuts back and forth in time. But if you are a harry potter fan you will of course want to see this and add it to your dvd collection, just be warned it may not live up to your expectations from the book!

This expansion pack is a great idea and adds a whole new dimension to the Sims 3 world and i would recomend it but please wait a few more months before getting it to avoid being dissapointed as right now its a waste of money!

This game has been plauged with bugs since its release and EA have produced numerous patches however they have hardly helped, with the latest causing most players game to crash and freeze up. It is very frustrating that EA dont take it more seriously and spend more time trying to fix the problems instead of wasting time creating custom content for their website which half of the users cant even use in their games right now anyway!!!

Once i can play this game properly ill review this again but for now im really annoyed with this game...

EDIT: EA have finally come out with a patch so that i can actually play the game without constant crashes that i was previously suffering from so yay! This expansion is so much fun! Not only is it fun travelling to the different countries and trying out the challenges but i love all the little details. For example, sims can now learn martial arts and photography skills and also songs from the locals and ever since my sim went to Egypt he keeps singing this song to himself about a mummy, especially when he is in the bath lol. This expansion adds a completly new dimension to the game and now i can actually play it i am hooked!

While there were parts of this book i really enjoyed and had laugh out loud moments too, other parts i felt dragged a little and will admit to doing some skim reading. The girlfriend character i also found to be an irrational nightmare (and im a girl writing this). Would be interested in looking into reading other books the author has written though as like i said he had a good way with words and some parts really were quite funny!

The Best of Never Mind the Buzzcocks [DVD]
The Best of Never Mind the Buzzcocks [DVD]
Price: 4.78

3.0 out of 5 stars Never Mind The Buzzcocks..., 27 Dec 2009
I enjoy watching Nevermind the Buzzcocks so asked for this DVD for Christmas but im a bit dissapointed as it made out that it included the never aired Russel Brand episode but all it did was featured 2 clips from it!! I thought the main point was to show never before aired footage? Obviously not... dont get me wrong, there are some extra gags and sections that didnt make aired shows and some are quite funny but most of it is stuff we have seen before :(
