5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value, 1 Jun. 2015

The case appears to be well-made and holds the phone securely. The slim design means the phone is protected against scratches without being too bulky in the pocket. A small opening in the back leaves the camera lens clear. There are two credit-card sized slots in the inside, but I would be wary of using them for bank cards as they could slip out when the case is opened. Cards are held quite snugly when the case is new, but might be gripped less tightly with use over time. Handy for top-up cards maybe.

I'm not sure about the stylus, which is a small plastic tube with a soft foam end, but some people might find it helpful. The screen protector is a bonus if, unlike me, you can actually apply the things smoothly.

Delivery was very quick, and at this price what's not to like?

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book badly scanned, 28 Feb. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
One of the funniest books written in the English language. The only problem with this edition for the Kindle is that captions for non-existent illustrations have been included, presumably by the OCR software used to scan it, and intrude nonsensically into the text. A little editing to excise these superfluous phrases wouldn't come amiss.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality, solid table., 25 July 2013

One person can easily put this table together as long as they are reasonably competent with simple tools. A screwdriver, 13mm socket and a measuring tape are quoted as necessary in the instructions, but a soft hammer is also useful for knocking the bolts through in order to thread the nuts on the ends.

I would recommend screwing down the table slats, (part.1), before tightening the diagonal braces, (part 3), however, allowing the pre-drilled holes in the slats to line up centrally with the top braces, (part 5) to give a stronger join. If the diagonals are tightened first the screw holes are right on the edge of the table braces, which would result in them splitting or the screws missing them completely.

Doing it this way results in a strong table that should last for years, although a cover to protect it from the worst weather, and a periodic treatment with teak oil will preserve it for longer.

I've knocked off one point for the instructions which could result in a weakened structure if followed in the order printed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Shoot the presenters, 6 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
There are some wonderful, evocative and memorable performances on these discs, and if they had followed the format of using the original programme introductions or used optional on-screen captions, I could watch them again and again.

Unfortunately the BBC have a habit of employing presenters who prefer the sound of their own voices over the artists they are introducing, (as happens during every televised music festival). The result is a series of lengthy and tedious personal reminiscences that interrupt the flow and pace of the music, are extremely annoying on first viewing and make a second play unlikely except to people who like to keep one finger on the fast-forward button.

An excellent idea, a welcome trip down memory lane, but a flawed presentation. Interview the staff next time if you like, BBC, but put them in a section at the end so we don't have to listen to such interminable drivel, subjective views that are of no interest to anyone other than the person speaking.

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid, 12 July 2008
This review is from: Flood [2007] [DVD] (DVD)
It might be possible for an infinite number of monkeys with editing suites to come up with a worse cut than this, but unlikely. The original material has suffered the most haphazard editing imaginable to reduce it to some arbitrary length.

All dramatic tension has been lost and the remaining dialogue is nonsensical. Having seen the original on TV this is a major disappointment.

The question that springs to mind is, "Why did they do it?" Don't waste your money; however much this disc has been reduced in price it is still not worth it, even to use as a coaster.
