Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars WHTTC review, 27 Feb. 2012
This book was in the condition described by the seller and was delivered very promptly. It's a great story written in the classic prophetic style of Nevil Shute before WW2 about the effects of bombing on large cities. A family gets caught up in the aftermath.

In my opinion Nevil Shute's best book. Delivered as described and very promptly. I told my wife how good it was and unfortunately she has commandeered it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little camera, 28 May 2011
We bought this camera for my wife to use at our son's wedding initially. It had to be small (to fit in her small handbag) and easy to use. We've had Olympus cameras before and been pleased with them so we went for this one. She was pleased with the size and weight and has found it very easy to use with the on sceen information being very helpful. The separate charger is very useful although you can charge it via the PC cable. Nice big screen for showing people your pics. It's use has been limited as we've only had it a short time but so far it's great.

Interesting game of mediaeval village building. Rules take a bit of grasping but the game becomes compulsive after a short while.
Delivered in good condition. Very pleased with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lois let loose again!, 25 May 2009
If you read this book you will feel like you've travelled every mile of the journey to South Africa with Lois. She has that knack of blending the humour of her experiences with the downright frightening. The story is told with the highs and the lows, warts and all. Watch out if you ever meet Lois because you could end up in her next book. She is a dab hand at summming people up and not slow to make her opinions about people known! As well as the descriptions of the countries she travels though, what made this book for me was the way she describes the characters she meets on the way. The sheer determination and positive attitude of this woman is an inspiration. Buy it, read it and, if you can, get on your bike and get out of here! (I recommend you also read "Lois on the loose", her first book)
