A comparison of the second book to the first, 1 Aug 2010
I love Michaels new book. It was most definitely worth waiting for. The new book still has the flair and beautiful image provoking descriptions, just typical of Michael's elegant, flowing, and very easy to read style. The second book is a very different book from the first however. Michael Wright has evolved. It becomes obvious from reading the book that he has changed. Living in France truly has had a huge impact on him. He truly is in a really diferent, and more "advanced" phase of life. I particularly like the way Michael has been bold enough to have placed his cards down on the table, and shared his inner most emotions and feelings with the reader. Few authors are brave and honest enough to do such a thing. I winced a few times, and laughed out aloud on more than one occasion. This book deserves to do very well indeed. It is one of the rare ones that cant be put down until it has been digested from cover to cover! Fill the fridge, take the batteries out of the doorbell, unplug the phone, and enjoy!
