Mountain Warehouse Men's Jacket Schwarzen
Mountain Warehouse Men's Jacket Schwarzen

4.0 out of 5 stars Bigger than I thought...XXXL, 6 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I wanted a jacket that was a bit bigger, so that I can wear a down mid layer under it if required - having tested the two together, that has been achieved. My problem is that this feels more like a smart coat, rather than a 'get muddy' coat...
Sleeve velcro works well and the sleeves are a good length - I am a bit of an ape so that was a relief.
It is mesh lined so it is actually pretty warm.
Coat length is good - if worn over a suit - it is that kind of size.
There are two concealed chest pockets - not huge / map pockets - but enough for a large smart phone / wallet etc. They are a bit fiddly as there is no pull cord on them - clearly something I can fix easily enough myself...
Actually the only thing that irritates me are the cords for keeping drafts out...there is one for the middle and one for the bottom of the coat. The middle one just hangs down - either side of the zip - and flaps about...I think it would have been better inside the jacket. The bottom cord is double back on itself but also grows into a sizeable loop if pulled tight...these are pretty minor issues overall.
An observation - you need to get the hood tucked away evenly all around the collar, otherwise you strangle yourself when you do the zip up fully!! You can remove the hood completely if you prefer.

In summary, it is a well made jacket that keeps out the weather very well. I recommend.

1.0 out of 5 stars Product versus service..., 23 May 2011
The satnav itself works very well. Directions are clear, which is good for me as I usually have the sound turned down.

My real disappointment was with the manufacturer's service. They promised a big discount on future upgrades, if you order and pay for them within 30 days of purchase. When I went on line to do so they told me it had been in use for over 30 days - not the case as I had only bought the device 6 days earlier....

Having tried a few times I wrote to them about it - via their website - and three weeks later they have not bothered to reply.

There are plenty of great manufacturers out there so decision making is on small margins....if this means they do not care about you once you have bought then do not buy from them.

This will be short...love it. As long as you don't pay full Apple price for it you will be happy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Still very US focused, 23 May 2011
It is no doubt a very good looking device but in terms of content the focus is still very much on a US audience.

Having said that, I bought it to play content from external HDDs, which it does very well. I have both a mac and a pc and it does not seem to mind which format the content is in - it plays it all so far. Menu is simple and fast and the playback quality is great.

They have just released an upgrade, which I have not yet loaded, which should make the device more user friendly, e.g. being able to bookmark. Given how slow surfing the web is using the device - moving the cursor is awkward and pages take ages to load - that is important. It wont replace a computer any time soon.

This is a work in progress but is a version of our future I suppose - but I just don't think that the 'walled garden' approach is the way to go.

Could also do with a couple more USB slots - two are not enough for my purpose.
