4.0 out of 5 stars Queen always the best, 21 Nov. 2009
This isn't as good as a Queen Productions product, but still gives valuable insight into the group at this stage in their career. To those saying it is a pirate bootleg, it was officially released in Japan and has been widely available to buy for many years in top music stores. So I'd beg to differ there.

Freddie is not at his vocal best, but still puts on a great performance and astounds you sometimes to how clever he was in changing the melody to suit his voice at any given moment.

As always, the Japanese have made the best of the footage. For Queen fans, a fun guide to The Works Tour in Japan.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good effort at a difficult task..., 21 Nov. 2009
... that is, filling Freddie Mercury's shoes. Sadly we have no live gig of Freddie doing these wonderful songs with M. Caballe, so this is the next best thing.

It was well rehearsed, and both singers did a great job. They try to be very faithful to the album and to me, as a massive Freddie fan, that's wonderful. I always wondered how these songs would sound live and this gives you a fair idea to how Freddie may tackled each song. So for those who are curious and always wished to have heard at least one of these amazing songs sung live, this is a great education.

Salvo Bruno is clearly a fan too, and is obviously vocally opera trained, so it goes to show how fantastic Freddie's voice was without any vocal lessons.

For fans of Freddie or the Barcelona album, this is worth your cash.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very comfy and great sound., 15 Oct. 2008
Early doors yet, but after waiting for the philips batteries to charge up (16 hours for 100% power) these are the comfiest and best sounding "wireless" headphones I've bought. Very very good range.

Would easily recommend to anyone else. Played Bohemian Rhapsody 5.1 mix through my PC and it sounded amazing... heard extra sounds and vocals for the first time.... Freddie never sounded better!!!

I thought though that the 3 sources available were to easily switch from Pc to Tv to HiFi for example by just flicking a switch, but it was just in case one channel gave you interference... not the products fault though... just my mis-understanding of it, so no biggie.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Freddie you know.... plus some!, 5 Mar. 2008
I loved this book. It was quite cleverly written and very informative. As a massive fan, a lot of the quotes and stories I had read or heard before, either via the web, documentaries or similar Queen books. What's good about this book is it let's you into what Freddie thought about individual songs and albums, and to an extent the rest of the group... although mostly in a positive sense. It also mentions his celebrity friends like Bowie, Rod Stewart and Elton, and what he thought about other acts which either grew up with Queen or newer acts which he liked or disliked. It does jump back and fourth, but they have tried writing each chapter in a way that follows a realistic timeline to when he said a particular quote (not always accurate though). All in all, it's the nearest you'll get to a realistic and honest book on the greatest entertainer the world has and ever will see.
