5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent travel and dating book, 1 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is the story of one man's epic adventure around the world. He goes to all sorts of places from Russia to Asia to South America. At the same time as gaining so much cultural knowledge, he also manages time to sort out his love life. Everywhere he goes, he adapts his cultural knowledge to enable him to meet local women. There are loads of amusing anecdotes in the book. However, the main part of it is to learn how to be a pick-up artist. Here the author gives culturally adapted ways to date women of many different nationalities and races. If you're like me, and interested in improving your relationships with women, as well as enjoy travelling round the world (and want to meet women everywhere), then you will love this book. It thoroughly deserves its 5 stars, for the tips alone, which can even be used in your home town. Tip - get the Kindle version so you can read it on your phone (using the app) when out and about.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent history of immigration, 26 Nov 2013
This review is from: Bloody Foreigners (Kindle Edition)
Amidst all the clap-trap from the right-wing press, this book shows just why immigration is important to this country. The book shows a detailed history of immigration throughout the years. Only thing that lets it down is the very end, but other than that, a thoroughly good history book. For those who didn't know, it also shows how many British brands, have foreign beginnings.

5.0 out of 5 stars For those who know nothing...., 2 April 2002
I did not know diddly-squat about American history before I rerad this great tome. OK, I knew a little bit about American history but all the details that this book goes into.
Although, I said that it is detailed it is far from stuffy. There is detailed information about evry president. There is also personal information such as dates of birth (and death) and family information. The book also gives details of important historical events during each president's term in office, and information about each president's election campaign. Everything from the OK campaign to Clinton '96.
At the back of the book is each president's inaugural speech. Each speech is given word for word.
For those who know little or lots about American history this is a great book for those who want a snap shot of history from a presidential view point.
