5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST read book for people with chronic pain, 30 Jan 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This book provides easy to read and easy to follow advice about how to deal with pain from a truly groundbreaking perspective. The book describes how we all have innate emotional and physical needs that need to be met in order for us to stay emotionally healthy, and how not meeting these needs can lead to problems in both mental and physical health, including chronic pain. The book's author is a highly qualified medical practitioner in the field of musculoskeletal therapy so is able to explain the link between physical and emotional causes of pain and how to deal with this quickly and effectively. This approach to pain management is definitely the way forward.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good overview, 30 Jan 2011

This book provides some good basic information about PCOS and has some ideas for recipes. The case histories are also good for motivating you to address diet as a means to controlling PCOS. There is quite a large section about using herbal remedies which I wasn't so keen on as most fertility consultants will advise you to avoid these because of the problems they can cause, so if you're buying this book because of fertility issues and PCOS then read this section with caution.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun but poor microphone, 4 Aug 2010
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars

My 2 year old really enjoys playing with this, but the major downside is that the microphone is really weak so there's not much feedback for the child to hear themselves. It's still fun though and the songs are simple and engaging.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some nice ideas and fairly straightforward, 4 Aug 2010

This book contains some good recipe ideas and they are fairly simple to make, although there are a few that seem too much of an effort. Overall useful.

Liam Goes Poo in the Toilet: A Story About Trouble with Toilet Training (Liam Says) (Liam Books)
by Jane Whelen Banks
Edition: Hardcover
Price: £5.59

4.0 out of 5 stars A great little book, 11 Jun 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this book to read with my 2 year old son who was reluctant to do a poo in the toilet/potty and kept soiling his pants (despite being more than happy to do a wee in the toilet).
When it first arrived I was a bit dubious about it as is is very minimal on words and didn't seem to have much substance. However, it really seemed to capture my child's imagination and within about a week of reading it everyday he started to try and use the toilet/potty to do a poo, and now happily uses it all the time. The only downside I would say is the very American wording, hence why I have only given it 4 stars, but I use my owns words that I know my son will recognise and he is happy with that. He also often refers to Liam when he needs a poo and says 'musn't do it in the pants', so I know he has taken it in.
