I nearly by-passed this book because of the title, I am glad I read other reviews and decided to purchase it on the strength of these.
I found the book to be informative, very easy to read and believable.
This book will be of use to anyone who works with children, particularly children suffering from and hopefully recovering from early traumatic experiences.
The author eloquently and simply ties in the effects of early traumatic experiences on the brain, in to what the child is living and dealing with as they grow, what helps them recover and adapt as best they can, and also what might hinder that recovery.
I highly recommend this book.

This book is colourful, beautifully illustrated, and clearly and simply written.
It shows the diversity of our society and will help anyone who may feel their family is different and help them to see this as a positive and that every family is unique!
This book is good for general reading at home, but I feel it would also be of much use in nurseries, schools etc, or even for use in a therapeutic setting.
