If I was allowed to, I would have given this 10 stars. I was an average fan of DMX before I read this book. It transformed my opinion of him. It explains the significance of his lyrics to the extent that you begin to analyse all the songs and videos you see. Brilliantly written, it feels as if DMX is stood in front of you telling you the stories of his childhood. A beautiful blend of harsh reality and dreamland escapism. I cannot give this book enough credit, it is a true masterpiece.
