5.0 out of 5 stars there is many a man, 2 July 2008
This review is from: White Blood Cells (Audio CD)
there is many a man who doesn like the white stripes.
perhaps they are under produced and raw
but they re also

jack white surely, is one of this centuries finest songwrites and guitarists

he can write and play any style
and they shine through with a gleaming swagger here

this is the white stripes at their primal best, raw, uncomplicated............BRILLIANT

5.0 out of 5 stars THE GREATEST ALBUM EVER, 27 April 2008
This review is from: The Stone Roses (Audio CD)
and thats not an exageration
no album will inspire you as much as this, every crap indie band nowadays has stolen from Brown, Squire, Mani and Reni, and you can hear the original spine tinglingly amazing songs right here:

1) i wanna be adored, the greatest opener in music, and absolute epic, the guitar work is brilliant
2) she bangs the drum, the one you shout at the top of your voice in your bedroom wishing you'd written it
3) waterfall, the one that jesus would play on a jukebox in a pub in heaven
4) dont stop, the one that makes the album fit together like a patchwork quilt
5) bye bye badman, the one where you show your friends how good the stone roses are
6) elizibeth my dear, the one you listen to when you fancy pretending your a court member of henry the 8ths abbey
7) sugar spun sister, the one where you forget how amazing i actually is and why it wasnt a single
8) Made of stone, the one where you play air guitar
9) shoot you down, the one that builds up to the greatest end of an album ever
10) this is the one, the one that makes you walk away from the edge of the cliff becaus you realise life is good
11) i am the resurrection, the one were you wait for the chorus and then jam for 5mins

THE best album you'll ever hear, and you'll wonder why people cant appreciate it like you do, then you'll realise that if everyone heard this album the world wouldnt have wars and people would forget about starvation and global warming and just sing and dance all day

like it should be

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST OF BOB, 4 April 2008
Sure, highway 61, blonde on blonde, blood on the tracks are all classic, this tacks the zimmerman biscuit.

its has a perfect blend of folk rock (gates of eden, tambourine man) and rock n roll (love minus zero, subteranean homesick blues)

5.0 out of 5 stars Definatly in the top 10 of all time, 7 Mar 2008
This review is from: Screamadelica (Audio CD)
Beautiful dance/rave culture/trance/pop/rock n roll euphoria.

this is an epic album, of gigantic proportions
the opener 'Movin on up' is a 70's rock style track with help from a gospel choir, jazz piano and chirpy guitars. then comes 'slip inside this house'. although not written by the scream, the bass guitar and percussion are beautiful, a gloomy yet booming song. 'Dont fight it feel it' is the most uplifting song ive heard. it plays into your brain and any fan of music will appreciate the singing.

the the highlight of the album 'higher than the sun' is a dub epic. althouugh on 4mins long it really will knock you socks off, i cant express just how cool and ice this song is, you have to hear it to realise ther beauty.

other key tracks are 'Loaded' a very famous rock song, a classy gem and 'come together' which is absolutely genius, second only to 'higher than the sun'. and 'damaged' i feel is forgotten about for this is acoustic guitar and piano, make the vocals sound beautiful

Reservoir Dogs (2 Disc Special Edition) [1993] [DVD]
Reservoir Dogs (2 Disc Special Edition) [1993] [DVD]
Dvd ~ Harvey Keitel
Price: £2.75

5.0 out of 5 stars just a plainly magnificent film, 27 Feb 2008
What is there to say about Reservoir Dogs that has notalready been said. The film is:
* Violent
* Abrasive
* compelling
* entertaining
* and genuinly funny
the film is set in a warehouse after a crime has taken plae and told mostly in flashbacks.

the acting in this film is sublime with standout performances from Michael Madsen and Tim Roth.
the film is famed by people who, have often never seen it, and this says it all. without having seen it people are stunned by it.

Along with pulp fiction (which i prefer, but is just not as hard hitting) and Fargo, this is the certainly the best crime thriller of the 90's and if you havent seen it, do so becuase it will knocck your socks off.

p.s if you havent seen it and you have a child over 15, the film is suitable. its not over violent and beside from the swearing and often sexual dialouge the film is suitable for any adult minded child.
dont be put off by reviewers who claim the film is over violent because most of the violence is brutality and there is very little gore

4.0 out of 5 stars WELL SOLID, 24 Feb 2008
This review is from: Strange House (Audio CD)
this is a fantastic album.
after the first listen you may dissmiss it as a gothic mess, but after a couple of listens and closer inspection of the lyrics you'll find that even the most fickle indie or pop purists will find somethind appealing in the cackling guitars or stabbed organ.

a great fun album.

not genius, but if you thought it would be you're looking at the wrong band altogther

1.0 out of 5 stars cos i couldnt dish out 0 *'s, 21 Feb 2008
this is caff.

a boring boring pointless stupid film.
i saw it with the hope of nothing clever, but some action. there is certainly action but i didnt care for the characters, thus the deaths did nothing.
