Not a lot to say really. Exactly what you'd expect. Four 5kg barbell plates, and checked them on the kitchen scales and they each weigh dead on 5.0kg, as you'd expect from York.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tastes great just like iced coffee milkshake, 29 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Tastes great just like iced coffee milkshake, mixes perfectly and is a great lean protein source.

However there is for some reason a trade-off here compared to the other Ultra whey proteins from Sci-Mx, and that's that this one doesn't contain the 5g of of BCAA's that the other flavours (choc and strawberry anyway, not used banana or vanilla so can't comment about those) have, the Mochachino one instead has 5g of added vitamins instead. I didn't know that before ordering this, and had I known I'd probably have stuck with choc or strawberry, as I can buy multi-vitamins a lot cheaper than BCAA tabs/powders if I want them.

Personally I'm not going to mark the product down for it though as it still does what it says on the tin.

Canon EP-EX15II Eyepiece Extender for EOS 450D & EOS1000D
Canon EP-EX15II Eyepiece Extender for EOS 450D & EOS1000D
Price: £14.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Does exactly what you'd expect. Well., 26 Jun 2011
There's not too much technically to say here. This extends the eyepiece of your camera by 15mm and gives you a bit more room when looking through the viewfinder for things like your nose. Or if you're like me a photographer who wears glasses then i'd highly recommend this as i find it's much more comfortable using the eyepiece extender and saves me having my glasses on my head or squashed up against my face when shooting.

All in all a good, well made and recommended product.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you've just got your first DSLR buy this book !!, 26 Jun 2011
As someone new to "proper" photography (not point and click digital cameras) I got this book, as it was recommended to me by a couple of friends, as was the author Michael Freeman. And I'm so glad I did!! Just the first chapter about the technical side of cameras and how they actually work, how they "see" the picture you're trying to capture, how the light meter works and how easily smart/evaluative metering is fooled was worth the money on it's own. Everything else I've learned from this book was a bonus, and there's masses more to this book. Everything from the technical side of how cameras work to how people perceive a photo and how to develop your own personal style and tastes, even post-processing, it's all covered.

In the book Michael Freeman is aiming to get you to understand how cameras work, what their shortfalls are and to encourage and guide you in to taking charge of your camera and it's exposure settings and not rely on the often fooled smart metering and auto exposure options.

The book is well written, easy to follow and lots of pictures etc to show you what the author is trying to explain. It also has the "web linked" feature which lets you see the pictures that appear in the book on your computer screen, which is capable of displaying a much more varied and complete tonal range than printed media, a good and useful addition to the book.

I'm glad to give this book 5 stars. Definately recommended to newbie like myself and i'd think some more seasoned photographers would find it interesting.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth reading., 26 Jun 2011
I bought this to get an idea of what's where etc in the Peak District ahead of a week there at the end of August. I wanted to get a heads up because it's sucha big area, and although i have a rough idea of the things we want to do and places to go I'm well aware that in such a large area there's bound to be loads more of interest.

It's a well written, although slightly too "rose tinted glasses" for my personal liking, and the suggested walks with directions and maps look really good and well thought out and planned. And they give warnings of difficult sections of a walk, Steep climbs or slippery slopes after it rains etc.

All in all I'm glad to recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the money., 24 May 2011
A good, solid feeling monopod. For the money you can't really worth go wrong. The quick release plate is useful.

The only drawback with this style of monopod, or even similar tripods, is the traditional style panning handle is more suited to use with camcorders and as such can make it awkward for photographers to comfortably use their cameras viewfinder as it sticks out too far. Not a problem if using it with compact digital cameras or if you have time to use your dslr's "live view" mode or the equivalent.

For this reason i ordered a manfrotto monopod with a tilt and pan friction control head. Being specifically designed for use with cameras all of the tilt, pan etc handles are much shorter and don't get in the way.

so if you're on a tight budget or just want an inexpensive back up then this will do you just fine, if you have got the cash i'd recommend any of the manfrotto range.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 21 July 2009
Necklace and pendant very pretty but when it arrived it was returned. The pendant itself is tiny, Literally fingernail sized and I felt it just wasn't worth the £40 I paid for it and it DEFINATELY IS NOT worth the full rrp of £140+. Overall very disappointed.
