5.0 out of 5 stars The incredible mobb deep, 8 Aug 2004
This review is from: The Infamous (Audio CD)
This lp is amazing. Prodigy and Havoc not only show their ryhming talents but also show their producing talents. There is not a weak track on this lp and it covers all issues of growing up on the streets. You feel that you can understand what they are talking about and compared to commercial hip hop, it stands out a mile. If you already own material from mobb deep and you dont have this yet, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? get it now! If you havent heard mobb deep yet but like genuine hardcore hip hop then this is a must buy for you, mobb deep at their best.
It features guest appearances from the ghostface killah, Q tip, raekwon and nas. My favourite track is the dark 'shook ones pt II' which features an incredible beat, maybe the best beat i have ever heard. This lp is a definate 10/10 and deserves every record sale it gets, and then some!

5.0 out of 5 stars the best rap album ever made?, 5 Aug 2004
This review is from: Illmatic (Audio CD)
all i can tell you about this cd is its incredible. at first i didnt think that this cd was anything special and i didn't particularly like the beats, but i gave it another chance and listened to it again n what can i say, WOW! This lp blew my mind away, this is without doubt the best nas lp and hip hop in its purist form. Nas is one of the best lyricists in the game. No famous guest appearances, which i think is a very good thing, theres nothing worse than buying an lp and then finding out theres only 3 tracks where the artist you bought are on their own, method man comes to mind. If you like raw hip hop and none of this commercial rubbish that is out at the moment then you should definately buy this album, 11/10. period.

5.0 out of 5 stars wu are at last, reunited!, 5 Aug 2004
This review is from: Wu-Tang Forever (Audio CD)
I felt i had to review this double lp when i saw people giving it 2 stars. That is rediculous, how can you possibly say it is unlike wu to have samples in their songs? name 1 of their albums that doesnt, your mad. As soon as you hear track 2, reunited, it is obvious that this lp is gonna be something special. The track shows off wus greatest skills and also has the best beat i have ever heard in a song, ever! The rest of the cd is almost as good, but it does not quite match the 36 chambers. Another great track on this cd is the, 4th disciple produced, 'the city'. An amazing track and i cannot believe that some guy said that it is not worth a listen, some people are just crazy. You should also check out heaterz, another phat track.
9/10 if your a first time wu buyer, try the 36 chambers. peace.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best ps2 game out at the moment!, 31 July 2004
This game does for the ps2 exactly what metal gear solid did for the psone. OK so substance is just an add on to sons of liberty but is there anything wrong with that? You could spend just as much time playing all of the VR missions as playing sons of liberty, sons of liberty is simply a bonus. This game is great, with new features on mgs2 including first person, hanging, rolling etc this game has absolutely nothing missing.
With everything you could ever ask for from an action game you cannot go wrong buying this, but if you dont own a copy of metal gear solid i suggest you buy that first as it is better.

5.0 out of 5 stars GZA shows the hip hop world why is called the GENIUS, 31 July 2004
This review is from: Liquid Swords (Audio CD)
Only built 4 cuban linx aside, this is the greatest solo release from any wu tang member. GZA proves to me to be one of the most underrated MCs in the history of hip hop. Like raekwon, this album would not have been much without the incredible aid of the RZA on the beats. From the chilling voice at the start of the cd to the fading chorus at the end this is the darkest hip hop cd i have ever heard.
Great beats and some of the most intelligent lyrics contribute to this alazing lp, a must buy for all hip hop fans!

5.0 out of 5 stars THE GREATEST HIP HOP ALBUM EVER MADE!, 31 July 2004
This review is from: Only Built 4 Cuban Linx (Audio CD)
I shouldn't have to say more than "buy this album right away!". As a hip hop fan i have always liked the wu-tang clan and when i heard that this album was supposed to be the best solo release from a wu-tang member, up there with liquid swords, i went on a search for it straight away. This CD may prove difficult to find so i suggest that if you are planning on buying it you should get it from here!
Every track is great, there is not a single bad track on the whole album! The best tracks are 'ice cream' and 'verbal intercourse'. This is a must have for any hip hop fan, and certainly for any wu fan. Although this is Raekwons lp he certainly could not have done it without the help of ghostface, who is featured in most of the tracks, and of course the RZA. In my opinion RZA is the greatest producer of all time and this album is proof of that. Appearances not only include ghostface but most of the wu tang clan, and nas.
If you like hip hop take my advice and buy this CD now, on first class delivery so you get this as soon as possible!

5.0 out of 5 stars The jigga man at his best, 31 July 2004
This review is from: Reasonable Doubt (Audio CD)
There is no denying that this album is fantastic from the first track to the last. There is not 1 bad track on it. Even if you don't like what Jay-z has turned into at the moment 'pop', if you like hip hop the chances are you will like this album. Since i bought this CD it's spent most of its time in my stereo and is up there with even nas' debut 'illmatic'.
The beats on this album are the best i had heard for a while, especially with all this commercial rubbish coming out at the moment. His ryhmes also match the great beats. My favourtie tracks on this cd are 'Brooklyns finest', which features the late Biggie Smalls and 'D'Evils'.
If you are planning on buying a Jay-Z album and are unsure which one to buy, purchase this one straight away, you will not regret it! Even if you dont like Jay-Z, this album is totally different to all of his later music and should not dissapoint any hip hop fan!
