5.0 out of 5 stars The best food book in my collection, 3 April 2008
This is not just a book of recipes - its a book about italian food, with recipes to punctuate the information. I have many recipe books, and this is by far the best so far.....
well written, well presented, and the first recipe book I ve actually taken to read in bed.
HIGHLY recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 Stars - Easily!, 13 Jan 2008
Another 5 star album.
One of the greatest albums every made in my humble opinion.

Dont expect to fall in love with it at once.
Give it a few listens - and pay attention. Put some time aside , Put some head phones on - lie down and listen.....beautiful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff, 17 Mar 2006
This review is from: Electro-Shock Blues (Audio CD)
Such a bleak and depressing album. Yet I love listening to it.
Somehow it manages to cheer me up everytime.
I think you need to listen to it a couple of times, but once you get it - you cant stop.
highly recommended.
as are all of his albums.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my top 10 albums of all time, 2 Mar 2006
This review is from: Beautiful Freak (Audio CD)
Why why why are the Eels not more popular? This album is an absolute classic. Go on give it a few listens and see if you dont agree.
Sad, Honest , funny. the lyrics are amazing.
Every song a masterpiece.
Novacaine for the soul is by no means the best.
I cant understand why it was the best known single.

Heard the album playing in virgin, and I bought it immediately. I rarely do that.
I've not heard much from him. dont know his previous 2 albums, not sure how ive missed him. But Ive very very pleased to find a new - obviously great artist. Im looking forward to listening to the previous albums.
My fav is "How the West was won".

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product. Shame about volume cap, 25 Nov 2003
The volume cap was almost a deciding factor for me to not buy this product. I use it on train and tube and i dont want to hear the train or tube when I have it on. The competition to this was the sony NetMD. But a little use of sonic-stage (the sony software) put me off. Its an appaling piece of software. And the check in check out requirements are ridiculous.
To get around the sound cap there are apparently hacks to do this ( but they look complicated if you are not technical) so the Boosteroo ( 20 quid) is an acceptable alternative. It boosts sound by 40%. Goodbye train and tube sounds. (and eardrums!)

1.0 out of 5 stars Powerbuilder help is more usefull, 12 Nov 1999
Advanced ?? I dont think so. Yes you may need to know PB before reading the book but everything covered in this book is better documented in the online doc.
