5.0 out of 5 stars Nintendo do the best mini party games and people of all ages will love playing Wii Party together in multiplayer., 9 July 2014
This review is from: Wii Party Select (Video Game)
Wii Party is enjoyed by my whole family which is aged from 4 years old right up to 60 years old! There are lots of different games for you to enjoy with your friends and family in four player mode such as:

Time Bomb is a mad game where you pretend the Wii Remote is a bomb and you must pass it around without shaking it whilst holding a button down then the next person grabs the Wii Remote whilst holding a different button. You have to be fairly fast as the time goes down faster and faster.
Word Bomb is very similar to Time Bomb but this time each player has up to 10 seconds to say a word from a given category such as drinks. If you don't say a relevant word and press the A Button in time, then the bomb explodes and it's game over with your Mii flying right up high towards the tv screen!
Board Game Island is a great fun where up to four players take it in turns to roll the dice and advance along a single route towards the summit of the mountain. At the beginning of each turn, everyone plays a mini-game, and the order the players come in determines which bonus dice they receive. This is a great board game where you swing across vines and get thrown up into the sky by a big hand made of rock across the mountain.
Spin Off is my favourite game at the moment where each player takes it in turns to spin the wheel by holding the A Button and swinging the Wii Remote left or right. most of the time you will land on a spot which wins money that goes into the bank. If you our good at the game and a bit lucky then you will land on a mini game battle and, if you win the mini game then you win all the money thats in the bank at the time.
Balance Boat is a right laugh and you must work together as a team whilst you all place your Mii characters on a ship. If you do not balance your Mii's good enough then the ship will tip over and all of your Mii characters will fall into the sea. Befor you place your Mii's on the ship you must play a mini-game together which if you fail to complete the Mii characters will be different sizes making it harder to keep the ship balanced.
Wii Party is the best multi-player game on the Wii since Wii Sports Resort and will be enjoyed by any type of gamer. You must buy this game, as I have only sketched the surface with what you can do.

5.0 out of 5 stars If your family liked Wii Party then they will love Mario Party 9!, 9 July 2014
The main reason Mario Party 9 plays a bit different to the other Mario Party games is because it was developed by the same team who gave us the most excellent Wii Party. In Party mode there are six exciting boards for you to play on which are Toad Road, Bob-omb Factory, Boo's Horror Castle, Blooper Beach, Magma Mine and Bowser Station. There are 80 new minigames for you to enjoy as your group work their way around the board on all different types of fun transport and some include great boss battles. You may travel together as team but you will be battle it out like enemies.
The game starts off with 10 charcters for you play as which are Mario, Toad, Luigi, Koopa, Peach, Birdo, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi and Yoshi. When you complete the solo mode you are given Shy Guy and Kamek to play with as well.
As you play Mario Party 9 you are given party points which you can use in the Museum to unlock DK's Jungle Ruins stage, new vehicles and stars in the sky of Nintendo characters etc.
The Extras mode lets you play Shell Soccer in which you are split into two teams for up to four players. The first team to take out all seven of their opponents Goombas wins.
Goomb Bowling plays a little like Wii Sports Bowling but you have to try and hit all the Goombas down which move from left to right.
Castle Clearout plays a bit like Puzzle League o the Nintendo DS, in that you need to connect six or more marbles of the same colour which clears a group and watch the fireworks go off!
Perspective mode is for one player only in which you are given 10 different minigames to play but you need to win in order to move on.

Last of all there is the Minigames mode that has Freeplay in which you can play all the minigames as many times as you like.
Step It Up is a race to the top of the steps by winning minigames.
In Garden Battle you play minigames to determine the order in which players get plant blocks. The first player to fill his or her garden with plant blocks is the champion. Garden Battle is my six year old daughters favourite mode at the moment because she likes gardening. There is also Choice Challenge, High Roller, Time Attack and I have unlocked the cool Boss Rush Mode.
Mario Party 9 is one of our families favourite games to play together alongside likes of Mario Kart Wii, Wii Party, Wii Sports Resort and Go Vacation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mario returns to his roots in this most brilliant 2d platformer, in which 4 people can all play together as a team!, 9 July 2014
Super Mario Bros on the NES was the first Nintendo game I played many years ago and it was a top class platformer and still is to this day. I have been playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii with my partner and it is harder then the DS Mario game which I prefer but she doesn't. We are having a great laugh playing as a team and we sometimes kill eachother by mistake. Nintendo have taken the best parts from Super Bros 3 on the NES and the best parts from Super Mario World on the SNES and have overall made the best 2d Mario platformer of all time with it's insane four player mode which is fantastic fun. The graphics look wonderful and just for me and maybe other long term Nintendo fans this game is more fun then Mario Galaxy. You get to play as Mario, Luigi, Blue Toad or Yellow Toad and best of all are friend Yoshi is back to ride on and help us out. Mario has some great new power-ups such as the Propller Mushroom which is great for reaching hidden areas high up in the air. The Ice Flower lets our hero chuck ice balls that feeze ememies and was used in Mario Galaxy but is the first time for a 2d Mario platformer. The Penguin Suit is great for when you are swimming and also allows you to throw ice balls. For me this is the best Nintendo game on the Wii this year and everybody who has a Wii should buy this game right now because it really is Nintendo at their best!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow yes it's true this is better then the first Super Mario Galaxy game which was and still is amazing!!!, 9 July 2014
How do Nintendo do it Super Mario Galaxy is still one of the best games on the Wii and along comes Super Mario Galaxy 2 which improves on it in every way. This is the first 3D Mario game to give us a map like in New Super Mario Bros Wii and was first used in Super Mario Bros 3 on the good old NES. We can ride Yoshi at last in a 3D Mario and it's fantastic fun with his long tongue gripping onto stuff as you jump or fly your way around the levels. The graphics look stunning and the Wii controls are just as great as the first game. Mario has some new moves such as being a drill where you can mine straight through any soft surface. Cloud Mario and Rock Mario are two more great costumes for our plumber hero. It doesn't have the same impact as the first Mario Galaxy and it's a bit harder too but, then again it was Super Mario 64 that had the biggest impact out of all the 3D Marios because it did it first. For me this is the best Mario game yet and it's hard to see how Nintendo can do anything better but I expect they will because they always find new fresh ways to keep Mario the king of platformers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Donkey Kong is back on true form with his best game since the good old SNES days!, 2 Nov 2013
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I had Donkey Kong 64 which was a 3d platformer made by Rare and it wasn't as enjoyable as Mario 64 or Banjo-Kazooie. Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (Wii) and Donkey Kong: Jungle Climber (Nintendo DS) went back to 2d platforming but some of the old SNES magic was missing still. We now have Retro Studios who did a most excellent job with the Metroid Prime: Trilogy (Nintendo Wii) and they have shown their great powers again and given us the best Donkey Kong game since the SNES glory days. Diddy Kong is here to help DK find his missing banana hoard and I must say the varied environments look most impressive indeed. You can play through the game in a fun two player cooperative mode and the excellent barrel cannons are back which can now shoot you way back into the background. Having DK being able to explore the levels in the background gives the game a very rich and detailed look. I also use to love the Mine Cart levels in the old SNES games and they are now back better then ever. Rambi the rhinoceros is back to help our heros on their quest by smashing through walls and finding hidden areas. There is also the mad Rocket Barrel which is a real blast to ride. Each level has the four letters that spell KONG for you to find but if think you are a real pro then try finding all the puzzle pieces. Cranky Kong has his own shop where can buy extra lives or even hire Squawks who will help you locate puzzle pieces. The best item to buy off Cranky is the Map Key which opens the locked path on the map selection screen for a new level. The boss fights are varied and they look awesome too. As I'm a old gamer I find it easier playing Donkey Kong Country Returns by using the Wii Remote by it's self. All we need now is for Nintendo to give us updates of F-Zero and Star Fox and maybe Retro Studios could be given the ropes for their great comebacks too.

5.0 out of 5 stars At last Mario and Sonic kicking each others butts!!!, 2 Nov 2013
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I had the first Super Smash Brothers (N64) back in 1999 and at the time it was great, but Super Smash Bros improves on it tenfold. The graphics look ace and for over 20 years I have been wanting a game where Mario and Sonic kick each others butts. I am a big fan of the Metal Gear Solid games too, so it's great to have Snake as well. The Adventure mode really works well and has a great little story showing you how all the characters meet eachother. In four player mode things get really manic and crazy which is most brilliant fun. Super Smash Brothers really is one big celebration of all things Nintendo with a small % of Sega and Konami which makes it one of the best games on the Wii. I can't wait to have Mega Man in Super Smash Bros Wii U (Nintendo Wii U)!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best Mario Kart yet!!!, 2 Nov 2013
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Mario Kart Wii is fantastic fun using the great Wii Wheel controls in solo player and even more so in multiplayer with friends or online. I have unlocked my Mii as a player which I can use to race with and your Mii's are dotted around the scenery on certain tracks. The new tracks are the best tracks yet with big bouncy mushrooms to go arcross and a underwater tunnel which you can whizz around. They really have put alot of imagination into the new tracks and you also get to race some of the older classics too. For those of you that have played New Super Mario on the DS where you can eat a Mega Mushroom and become massive, well it's here in Mario Kart now and boy is it a laugh to have. Overall yes Mario Kart is the must have of must have games to have on your Wii.

5.0 out of 5 stars At last the Wii U has a first person shooter with brains!, 27 Oct 2013
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I enjoyed the first Deus Ex (PS2) game so much on my PC that I re-brought it for my PS2, because most of my old PC games don't work on my newer PC. It was one of those games which was ahead of it's time like Half-Life (PS2) and GoldenEye 007 (N64), which both came out around the same time period. Anyway Deus Ex: Human Revolution really captures the spirit of the first game and makes good use of the GamePad. You can control augmentations and hack security devices using the touch screen controls. The map can be marked with pen, which might help you find yourself around easier. Also the whole game can be played on the GamePad, which is always handy if someone else wants to watch the tv.
The graphics have been enhanced for the Wii U version, which brings it closer to PC spec and the soundtrack is very atmospheric as well. The story and the RPG elements really make this game shine and are fantastic. Your character Adam Jensen has a good range of weapons, but he is a real pro at stealth attacks. The level design is well thought out and I'm so glad Square Enix are supporting the Wii U with this triple-A game, when so may other 3rd party developers are giving the Wii U the cold shoulder at the moment. Call of Duty: Ghosts (Nintendo Wii U) may sell more copies, but this game has far more substance and is better for it in my eyes.

4.0 out of 5 stars The King Of Iron Fist is back Nintendo style!!!, 15 Sep 2013
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
My all time favourite Tekken game use to be Tekken Tag Tournament [PS2], until now that is. I also own Injustice: Gods Among Us (Nintendo Wii U), which is another very good fighting game on the Wii U. Anyway for graphics Tekken is a real eye candy catcher and the video scenes are stunning. There are over 50 fighters for you to choose from, which is really impressive compared to Injustice 20+ characters.
I love the Nintendo costumes such as Mario, Link, Samus and even the mighty Captain Falcon. The Mushroom battle is hilarious which even has the Mega mushroom. Tekken Ball is also a fun extra mode, which involves punching and kicking a volley ball at eachother.
The muliplayer battles online has worked well for me, but I still prefar playing against someone in the same room myself. The whole game is playable on the GamePad screen only, which is always good to have in my humble opinion. The only downfall for me is, Tekken doesn't feel so fresh even with all these cool features and that's why I prefar Injustice myself overall. Still we are lucky to have two excellent fighting games on the Wii U and in the near future Super Smash Bros Wii U (Nintendo Wii U) as well :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars At last Nintendo release a game on the Wii U, which shows off it's graphics capabilities!, 15 Sep 2013
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I enjoyed Pikmin 2 (Wii) very much indeed and I'm so glad I picked up Pikmin 3, after loads of people on Miiverse raving about it. There are three characters Alph, the ship's engineer, the botanist Brittany, and the captain Charlie, which you get to control and must work together as a team with the Pikmin. The three of you get lost in different locations and you use Alph to find your other shipmates. There are loads of wonderful Pikmin for you to give orders to and my favourite new Pikmin is the Rock. The Pikmin all have different abilities for solving the many fun puzzles and boss fights.
The scenery, water and fruit are very realistic looking and you can't help, but have a big smile on your face as you are playing through the game. The bosses are huge and look most spectacular. The music and sound effects are very fitting and you can see Nintendo have put much love into this game. As well as taken screen shots for miiverse you can also take photographs, from the Pikmins point of view which is pretty cool.
The whole game can be played on the GamePad screen, which is my overall favourite feature of the Wii U console. Also the two player Bingo Battle is great fun and can get a little intense. The only slightly annoying thing is the time limit with each new day. Overall Pikmin 3 is my 2nd favourite game on the Wii U, after LEGO City Undercover - Limited Edition with Chase McCain Minifigure (Nintendo Wii U) and Nintendo Land comes in at a very close 3rd place.
