4.0 out of 5 stars Monopoly Streets is great fun for the whole family to enjoy., 29 Dec 2010
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
When I was a young boy I use to love playing Monopoly with my parents and sister. We would have hours of fun and now I can have hours of fun with Monopoly Streets on the Wii with my partner and other family members and friends. The graphics really look good for a board game especially in the city mode which has your Mii characters walking around the streets. You can even play the game as your Mii character once you have unlocked them and the board pieces all have their own little funny routines when moving around the board. The reason each player needs their own Wii Remote is for the trading of property with eachother. A good way of getting yourself a extra Wii Remote is by buying a copy of the excellent Wii Party with Wii Remote Controller - White or the short but good fun Wii Play with Wii Remote Controller (Wii). The Wii saves your progress which is handy because some games can last a very long time and if you don't have enough time to finish the game then you can come back to it the next day. For all you millions of people out there that love Monopoly like myself then Monopoly Streets is another great way of enjoying this all time classic property trading game.

Alien Anthology [Blu-ray] [1979] [6 Disc Set]
Alien Anthology [Blu-ray] [1979] [6 Disc Set]
Dvd ~ Sigourney Weaver

5.0 out of 5 stars The best horror/sci-fi movies ever made will take your breath away on Blu-ray!, 21 Dec 2010
Alien:
Ridley Scott is the director of the first Alien film and what a classic it is, one of his best alongside other great films he did later such as Blade Runner and Gladiator. This film made a star out of Sigourney Weaver. At the time John Hurt was the biggest name in the film. Watch with the lights off and be prepared to be made to jump out of your seat.

Aliens:
James Cameron also well known for the first two Terminator films and Titanic did what people thought was impossible by making a sequel to Alien which is just as good as the first movie or maybe even better. It is alot more action packed then the first film and another classic.

Alien 3:
We had two classic Alien films made the next one was always going to be a let down no matter what really. It's not as bad as what people say it is. Alien 3 is the weakest out of the four films but it is, still a very good film in it's own right just not a classic. Alien 3 goes back to just having the one alien like in the first film. It is David Fincher's first film who has now done two great films with Brad Pitt, Seven and Fight Club.

Alien Resurection:
As Alien 3 left many fans abit cold Resurrection went for the Aliens approach with all action and guns blazing. Ron Perlam the bloke who plays Hellboy also stars in this film and Winona Ryder gives a good performance as an android. Resurrection is an improvement over Alien 3 but, the first two films are still the best so far!?
Sigourney Weaver still likes the idea of making another Alien film and hopes Ridley Scott would be interested before she gets to old. Fingers crossed but for now we will have to make do with Aliens Vs Predator films which are pretty good but no where near has good as these films.
Bonus features are most excellent and if you enjoy your films, then get this it's a real must buy for any film buff.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse [Blu-ray]
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse [Blu-ray]
Dvd ~ Robert Pattinson
Price: £6.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Eclipse restores my faith in the Twilight saga after being slightly disappointed with the New Moon film., 18 Dec 2010
Love rivals Edward and Jacob have to join forces in order to protect Bella from a new breed of vampires. The action has at last peaked up a little and the whole of the cast are really sinking their teeth into this great saga. I found with the film "New Moon" that most of the best parts were all shown in the trailer but I guess it was the weaker book too. Eclipse has alot more humour then the other two films and you are left wanting more when the credits roll up. I know from reading the books that things are going to really hot up in the next film "Breaking Dawn!"

SEGA Superstars Tennis (Wii)
SEGA Superstars Tennis (Wii)

3.0 out of 5 stars A good Tennis game but if you have a DS then get that version instead because it is better., 15 Dec 2010
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
Sega are the creators of the great Virtua Tennis series so, I knew Sega Superstars Tennis would be a good tennis game too. There are many great Sega characters for you to play as which include Nights, Sonic, AiAi, Ulala, Beat and later on Alex the Kid + lots more. I have unlocked a Outrun and Afterburner tennis courts which pleased me. There are lots of fun mission games to play through based around many famous Sega titles which, unlock the Score Attack mode. Sega Superstar Tennis is a enjoyable in solo player mode but even better in multi-player. So if you want a good tennis game for your Wii and love all things Sega then look no further. Here is the link for the DS version of SEGA Superstars Tennis (Nintendo DS) which is more fun and plays better. If you are looking for the best tennis game on the Wii then try EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis (Wii).

4.0 out of 5 stars It's amazing these Mario games still play just as good now as when I first played them many years ago!, 4 Dec 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
First of all I would like to say that these four games do not play in widescreen format but as Guns N' Roses use to sing "all you need is a little Patience" because they, still play fantastically and the screen size is still alot bigger then playing a game on my DS.
I had a NES back in the late 1980's and fell in love with Mario with the first Super Mario Bros - Nintendo Entertainment System - NES game which is a one of the most important video games of all time in gaming history. The levels are so well designed and I have such fond memories of beating Bowser for the first almost brings a tear to the eye.
I never got Super Mario All-Stars for the SNES because I had all the games on the NES part from "The Lost Levels" which was a Japanese release only. The reason being is the game is as hard as nails and was considered to hard for us western gamers. One of my friends use to have Super Mario All-Stars for the SNES and I never got around to completing the "The Lost Levels" so now is my chance to show off my supreme gaming skills and beat the hardest Mario game of all time. Top hint "The Lost Levels" are easier if you play as Luigi because he can jump much higher then Mario.
"Super Mario Bros 2" is another classic Mario game where you also get to play as Luigi, Toad and Princess Peach. Each charcters jump and strength is slightly different Marios jump being average but he is the 2nd strongest alongside Luigi who can jump very high. Toad is very strong and is the wrost at jumping. Princess Peach can float in the air for a short time by holding the 2 Button while jumping and she is also the weakest. The enemies are great and must be used again in other Mario games in the future such as Wart, Pidgit, Mouser, Birdo and Clawgrip. Mario and friends can throw different objects, dig holes in sand and best of all fly on a magic carpet.
Super Mario Bros 3 - Nintendo Entertainment System - NES for me is the best 2D Mario game of all time yes even better then Super Mario World. It was the first Mario game to introduce a map and it really pushed the NES to it's limits with 90+ levels and excellent graphics for the time. This time Bowser's kids were let loose who are known as Larry, Lemmy, Roy, Ludwig, Iggy, Wendy and Morton. They didn't see the light of day again until the brilliant New Super Mario Brothers (Wii) game. "Super Mario Bros 3" also gave Mario some very cool suits such as the Frog Mario which made it alot easier and quicker to swim underwater. My favourite suit is the Tanooki Mario which gives you the flying actions and tail attack of Raccoon Mario but, the best bit is by holding the control pad down and pressing the 1 button which turns you into a statue and makes you invincible. Hammer Mario lets you throw hammers and if you duck then you can rebel fireball attacks whilst hiding underneath your shell. All the hidden stuff in "Super Mario Bros 3" is a real joy to find and each world map has it's own exotic theme. If you have never played Super Mario Bros 3 before then this Wii game is worth it just for that game alone it really is that good still!
The updated SNES graphics for all four of these Mario games make them look better and the sound is improved too. Speaking about the sound here is the track list for cd soundtrack which is as follows:

1. Super Mario Bros. - Ground Theme
2. Super Mario Bros. 2 - Ground Theme
3. Super Mario Bros. 3 - Athletic Theme
4. Super Mario World - Ground Theme
5. Super Mario 64 - Slider
6. Super Mario Sunshine - Delfino Plaza
7. New Super Mario Bros DS - Main Theme
8. Super Mario Galaxy - Main Theme
9. New Super Mario Bros Wii - Title Theme
10. Super Mario Galaxy 2. Main Theme (Trailer Arrangement)
11. Super Mario Bros. - Coin
12. Super Mario Bros. - Small Mario Jump
13. Super Mario Bros. - Power Up
14. Super Mario Bros. - 1-up
15. Super Mario Bros. - Pipe Travel/Power Down
16. Super Mario Bros. - Hurry Up
17. Super Mario Bros. - Lost A Life
18. Super Mario Bros. - Game Over
19. Super Mario Bros. - Course Clear
20. Super Mario Bros. - World Clear.

The music cd is ok with only the first 10 tracks being proper Mario themes and the rest being sound effects etc. My five year old daughter will listen to it more then me but I have loaded it onto my computer. I was really looking forward to the 25 years of Super Mario History booklet only to find it is very brief and disappointing.
Overall if you love all things Mario then check these games out because this is where our hero started and has been the King of platformers for 25 years which makes me feel a little bit old because I was there at the beginning. Just maybe Super Mario World should have been included to but hay I guess Nintendo just wanted us to have these updated NES games where it all started.

4.0 out of 5 stars Our four favourite New York big shopper girls are back on form!, 2 Dec 2010
I'm going against the grain by saying this is better then the first Sex and the City: The Movie [2008] [DVD] film because it made me laugh more overall. Samantha for me steals the film a little with her tarty ways which are so funny for us men. Dibi looks stunning as do all the girls for their ages. The Nanny was the best looking nanny I've seen only in Hollywood! Joking aside if you like Sex In The City there is plenty for both men and women to enjoy together.

3.0 out of 5 stars Experimental and a backwards step not progress!!!, 21 Nov 2010
This review is from: Progress (Audio CD)
Take Thats last two albums Beautiful World and The Circus are superior albums and thats why they both got better reviews overall. The first track "The Flood" is excellent" and there are two other very good songs which are "What Do You Want Form Me" and "Eight Letters". The rest of the album is ok part from the most awful song "Wait".
The sound of this album is very different to their last two efforts is this Robbie Williams fault maybe but, I think they all wanted to try something different and it didn't work for me and many other Take That fans.
The electronic pop sound sounds out of date and a bit naff. Take That should stick at doing what they do best and thats pop mixed with a tad of soft rock. There last album before this "The Circus" was amazing and reminded me of Snow Patrol alot at times.

5.0 out of 5 stars My five year old daughter, my partner and myself all three of us really enjoyed How To Train Your Dragon., 17 Nov 2010
In fact I would go as far and say that all three us think this is the best computer animated film to come out this year overall. The relationship between Hiccup the boy Viking and Toothless a very cute black dragon is very funny and touching at the same time. The voice acting is most excellent and includes "Gerard Butler" who starred in the film 300 as Hiccup's ultra hard as nails Viking dad. I've always had a interest in Vikings and dragons since I was a little boy and this film really captures the spirit of both very well indeed. The computer animation looks stunning on blu-ray with crystal clear detail. I found the story very enjoyable and it contains a very good message within it too. Overall this is the best DreamWorks computer animated cartoon since Shrek 2 and it really does desreve all the brilliant reviews it is receiving.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Final Destination films are starting to get a little stale now., 16 Nov 2010
This review is from: The Final Destination [DVD] (DVD)
There are some really cool death secnes in this film and having it in 3D will make you jump out your seat! The main story feels very much the same as befor and adds nothing that new from the other films which is a real shame. If you are a fan of the other Final Destination films then you will enjoy this one too just don't expect anything new.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good fun in short bursts with your friends and family in four player mode., 13 Nov 2010
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
As far as mini party games go "New Carnival Funfair Games" is one of the better ones that you can get for the Wii but, it doesn't have that Nintendo magic which Wii Party and Wii Sports Resort have. The graphics and presentation are nice and colourful which really suit this style of game. The MotionPlus controls work better for some of the mini games but is not really needed for most.
There are over 30 mini games for you to enjoy which are as follows:

Arrow Shoot
The Amazing Zamzeer
Super Gold Rush Alley Ball
Bank-A-Ball
Pool Shark
Haunted House
Swish It and Super Swish it
Gone Fishin'
Wheel Of Cheese
Prize Surprise
Fish Bowl Bounce
Horseshoe Toss
Pitch-A-Plate and Super Pitch-A-Plate
Tractor Pull
Twist-N-Win
Target Shoot
Speed Bingo
Balloon Blast
Ticket Racer
Bumper Cars
Start Your Engines
Tic Tac Toe
Clown Face and Super Clown Face
Under 7 Over 31
Photo Booth
Bottle Stand Up.

One of my favourite events is Tractor Pull because I come from Cornwall and think it is a right laugh. I also really enjoy the Haunted House against my partner. The game Start Your Engines drives me crazy because the controls don't work very well for it at all. My five year daughter likes playing this game as well and if you can pick it up fairly cheap it's worth buying.
