I love this writer, she is a quite new author...this book kept me interested from the first page. The plot turns and twists, a story of lies and fear. Always she writes in a dark comic style..totally engrossing read...Jenn Ashworth give me more...

I am a big lover of classical novels, this book had me turning the pages so quickly, i almost wanted to save it from being devoured by myself! This is the first novel (i am ashamed to say), that i read by this author. If you love the classics i urge you to read this book.

A funny but nasty little movie, i enjoyed it a lot, sometimes cringing, sometimes laughing out loud. The idea is a good one. What would you do for a lot of money?

5.0 out of 5 stars Disturbing but brilliant, 24 Oct. 2012

A disturbing, but brilliant film from genius directer Haneke. It hits you full on like a smack in the face. At times its very uncomfortable to watch it left me feeling drained and that by viewing it i had taken part in the brutalities, which Haneke set out to achieve. A film that questions our acceptance of sadistic violence portrayed to us every day, through images in the media, the net, etc. View this film with that in mind but be prepared to be shocked.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes you think, 24 Oct. 2012

I ordered this film as i read so much hype about it. It now becomes part of my world cinema collection. Not a film for the easily shocked. This film is not pornography, but a work of art about absolute power and corruption. Salo affected me profoundly, it made me think of the brutalities that take place in this world, even as we sit veiwing such things in the comfort of our homes. If you can open your mind up and view this film the way Pasolini intended then you will watch, what was for me a thought provoking film.
