Viloteau is a superb and exciting young classical guitarist. He has an exciting future ahead of him. He also has a fascinating attitude on the classical guitar - he seems determined to bring the instrument to the fore and make it relevant for the modern age.
I think this is his first CD and although the material is not all to my liking (hence 4 stars as opposed to 5) it is very well produced and sound is excellent.

What I've seen so far has been excellent. Frederic Hand is a wonderful player and his discussion and comments on technique etc are delivered in a natural and highly understandable manner.
DVD delivery from US supplier was also excellent - came in no time at all

Got this on vinyl when it first came out - it is an absolute original classic. Lyrics and arrangements are amazing. For a first album this was an absolute earth shattering experience. Still sounds timeless.

Originally had this on cassette so thought it time I had it on CD. Sounds even more brilliant than before! One of Metheny's classic recordings.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected, 8 Dec 2013

Was disappointed with this product as it wasn't what I expected and didn't suit my purpose (wanted it to shape my nails for classical guitar playing).

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality music, 8 Dec 2013

Gallagher is a new name to me but he is an excellent guitar player and really love this CD. He has a real feel for 'early' lute type music (although played on the guitar) he makes the style interesting and moving whereas in less capable hands this type of music can be dry and boring. Would love to see Gallagher live in the UK. The delivery of this CD was also great service (came from USA in very speedy time).

Starsailor: The Anthology
Starsailor: The Anthology
Price: £7.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant and visionary Buckley, 19 Feb 2012
For anyone wanting to hear quality, meaningful music - both emotional and spiritually, then buy this CD. As mentioned by previous reviewers the remastered quality is superb. A great compiliation - my particular favourites being from the 'Strange Feelin' period and beyond. And at last we have (almost, but not quite) the complete Starsailor set in superb quality - when O when will Starsailor be released as a complete entirity as it so much deserves to be? Until then buy this CD if you still believe that music should be forever exploring and challenging - you won't be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars An album that grows in statue over the years, 7 Jan 2010
This review is from: Nashville Skyline (Audio CD)
In 1969 this was considered a big disappointment - country music was considered a joke to the hippy scene. But this album was to have a big impact on musicians and caused a big rethink to where music was going. Now 40 years later it can be seen for what it is - a great album, quality musicians, simple songs sung so warmly by Dylan (his voice here is a treat - it was rumoured this was because he had given up smoking). Highlights include 'I Threw it all Away', 'Tonight I'll Be Staying With You' and of course 'Lay Lady Lay'. Remastered the quality of the musicians really shines - listen to the Telecaster on 'To Be Alone With You' to see what I mean! Note: Running time is less than 30mins - but who cares - 30 mins of quality Dylan is worth more than 60mins of dull, grossly overproduced power ballads!!

5.0 out of 5 stars beautiful lyrical, acoustic songs, 13 May 2009
This review is from: Seeing Things (Audio CD)
I've played this CD regularly since it was first released - it is definately a grower. The songs are all well crafted and have some beautiful, thoughtful lyrics - and Jacob is his own man here, not hiding behind his famous father! The production is acoustic, sparse and all the better for it. For me this CD was one of the forgotten highlights of 2008 - give it a listen and let it grow - you won't be disappointed.
