It started off as a nice, easy, hot romance. A sexy bloke and a rather weird woman... but I knew that wasn't going to last - I'd read the blurb!

The change of pace kept me reading, wondering how each escalating situation would be resolved - Tucker and Josie has more than their share of trauma, but I liked how the author drew all the elements back together.

As always, Seckman's writing is smooth and flows so well, you just have to keep reading. She draws brilliant characters, but in this book the secondary characters, Hetty and Murray, were particularly well-rounded and believable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Kyra Lennon makes you feel like you're catching up with old friends, 30 Dec. 2015

Another great story from Kyra Lennon. I loved the characters, the tension, the behind-the-scenes at a rock concert stuff. Lennon pulls you into the book from the very first page, and makes you root for a happy ending. As always, you think you know how the story will play out, but Lennon throws in a dramatic twist that makes you gasp!

5.0 out of 5 stars A delicious paranormal crime novel, 24 Aug. 2015

How do you fight a villain you can't see? That's the problem facing Danny Fitzpatrick and his partner Tessa Washington as they try to find the source of the fires plaguing their city.

Julie Flanders keeps the reader on the edge of their seat until the very end. I had no idea how this crime would be solved, and feared for the safety of the main characters from very early on.

What I like about this book - and Polar Night - is how the sense of living in perpertual daylight - or nighttime - was conveyed. And how those two polar opposites (hehehe) become part of the plot.

A neat crime story, with delicious paranormal elements.

This is a great read - I loved the fact that the main character, who discovers she's a witch, is nearing 40. So rather than this being another YA read, with the same teen angst, Watts has created a character that has a job to hold down, bills to pay and grown up relationships to maintain.

The novel starts out as a fun romp, as Holly gets used to her new-found witchlight, but gradually the tension increases as not everyone is who they say they are.

I loved the author's style, and already have her previous book lined up to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another rollercoaster read, 5 Jun. 2015

Kyra Lennon's writing makes it so easy to slip back into the world of the Westberg Warriors - it's like meeting up with old friends. This time the focus is Freya, slowly coming to terms - or not - with the death of her boyfriend. The characters are so well drawn, with flaws and redeeming features - and Lennon gets right to the heart of their emotions. Once again, I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, because I need to know what happens next!

4.0 out of 5 stars A stunning debut, 8 Feb. 2015

Rebecca Bradley has created a stunning debut. She tackles a harsh subject matter, which at times makes the reader squirm a little, but which also takes us right into the mind of the main character, DI Robbins. It's a gripping story - I had my suspicions about the murderer, then changed my mind, changed it back again - but I was satisfied and surprised by the conclusion. Definitely worth reading.

Nobody Knows (Razes Hell Book 1)
Nobody Knows (Razes Hell Book 1)
Price: £2.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great read!, 12 Nov. 2014
Kyra Lennon has an amazing way of putting you right in the middle of the story so that you really feel part of that world. It makes the book unputdownable, And Nobody Knows is no exception,

Ellie, Drew and Jason are childhood friends, all on the cusp of great career success, but the dynamics are changing, Brothers are falling apart, hidden feelings are rising to the surface.

The challenges that the three main characters have to overcome seem too vast to be conquered. You have to keep reading - because Kyra knows exactly how and when to end a chapter so you can't possibly close the book and go to sleep... No, you end up switching the light back on and reading some more!

The story is, in turns, uplifting and heartbreaking, and plays on every girl's dream of hanging out with the band.
