The Outlaw Josey Wales is my favourite Clint Eastern western but I'm not going to go on about the film. It's the picture and sound quality that you probably want to know about. The picture quality is superb. The colours are bold and the picture is very sharp. The print has been cleaned up and is a considerable improvement over the DVD. The sound quality is good. It won't blow you away but again is an improvement over the DVD. Despite being a US import, this blu ray is region free so will work on UK machines. The disc also has a couple of great documentaries on too lasting about 30 minutes each. If you love the film then it's an essential purchase.

Brilliant, I love this song, it's the best version so far. Don't know why it's classed as a Christmas song, there's no mention of anything Christmassy in the lyrics so I will be listening all year round.

This is without a shadow of doubt the best song that I have ever heard. It's just so catchy. I know that music is very personal and what I like may not be everyones cup of tea. It has a fantastic video to it too.

I have never really been that impressed with any of the blu rays I have ever brought. However, the picture quality on this disc will blow you away. The brightly lit desert scenes are so pin sharp it's just amazing. Superb film, superb picture quality. Buy it now you will not be disappointed.

This review is from: Trials of Life [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
The Trials of Life is my all time favourite David Attenborough series which is why I have given it 5 stars. But what you really want to know is what's the picture quality like. In places it's very grainy, almost like watching a worn out VHS tape, however, if you sit at a good distance from the screen then you can't see the grain and the PQ is actually very good and quite sharp. The colours are quite vivid in places too. It's a big improvement compared to the DVD version. The problem is though the colours on disc 4 still look a bit washed out and was nowhere near as good as discs 1 to 3. Not sure why. I was actually a bit disappointed but still gets 5 stars for just being The Trials of Life. And let's not forget that superb theme tune. One of the best theme tunes I have ever heard. Sometimes just put it on just to listen to it. This set contains all 12 uncut episodes plus a making of documentary. Highly recommended to any Attenborough or wildlife fan.

2.0 out of 5 stars Beware of the dreaded motion blurring, 15 Mar. 2010
I purchased this tv (not on amazon) on the strength of the customer reviews. The picture quality is stunning with its 30,000:1 contrast ratio. That is until the picture moves, then the dreaded motion blurring which plagues LCD screens becomes noticeable. It becomes very noticeable when fast moving credits are scrolling up the screen. I have a Humax PVR 9200T connected to it - not sure if that makes a difference. This is disappointing especially as some reviewers have stated that they have not noticed this. Maybe I am being a little too fussy. We also have a Panasonic 32 inch tv which has 100 Hz motion reducing technology built in. This makes a huge difference.

I thought that the sound is also pretty poor. If you can imagine turning the treble control on your stereo to maximum and the bass to minimum then this is what it sounds like. Best thing to do is to just turn the bass up to maximum.

With regards to the stand, yes it is near impossible to fit without a magnetic screwdriver which I do not have. However, I attached the screw to the screwdiver with a small bead of blu tac and this worked well.

Overall if you are limited by space and you can put up with a bit of motion blurring then I would recommend the tv otherwise I would buy a 32 inch.
