5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Portable CD/DVD drive with in-built USB cable, 8 May 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Does exactly what I wanted it to - namely import CD's into my i-Tunes music library which is now on a new laptop which doesn't have a disk drive. What is particularly useful is that this drive has an in-built USB cable so there's no trying to remember which cable to use.

2.0 out of 5 stars Buy Volume 1 and avoid Volume 2, 8 May 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this as Vol 1 was such a great CD but this alas is that "difficult second album". Whereas Vol 1 had some great re-worked songs such as How Will I Know done by Sam Smith on Vol 2 you get Billie Jean done by Kodaline. You probably hear better versions at your local karoake night. By all means buy Vol 1 and enjoy the rich variety that has to offer that but please think carefully about buying Vol 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still a masterpiece after all these years, 26 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
How good is this? I'm not sure how I could have been on planet Earth for 42 years and never bought an ELO CD before. Buying this collection has more than made up for it. There are so many good tracks on the double CD album. I even don't mind Xanadu with Olivia Newton-John singing. It's best to listen to this in the old school way using your hi-fi separates system and think of a time before mobile devices ruled the world.

The Wurzels never have been and never will be the last word in cutting edge contemporary music. However if like me you're a child of the 70's and remember most of the words to The Combine Harvester song then it's well worth taking a trip back down memory lane and purchasing this. You even get a Tony Blackburn duet. If this album was a food it would be cheese and cider - not sure it goes but who cares!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value for Money compared to Bose, 7 Mar. 2011
We wanted a small-ish but good sound system for the bedroom to replace an old Sony mini hi-fi unit. We originally were going to buy a Bose sound-wave but by the time you add on a DAB module and i-Pod deck the cost was £££'s. We searched on Amazon and found this product which included all the features we wanted. It was so easy to set-up when we got it - just plug in and play. The sound is very good and using the remote control is easy (once you've read the user manual). In terms of the bright blue glow around the volume dial this certainly brightens up the room at night and I can see this annoying some folk - however I've found a use for an old piece of pottery which covers this up nicely! Overall a fantastic unit for use as a secondary sound system in our house.

2.0 out of 5 stars This may not solve your problems, 28 May 2009
I've a Tomtom XL Sat-Nav and I'm afraid attempting to stick the standard Tomtom suction pad onto the Nav-Mat placed on the dashboard generally ended up in disaster. When accelerating away from traffic lights all too often the Tomtom comes crashing to the floor as the suction between Tom Tom and the Nav-Mat isn't good enough.
I expected to buy this product and need no further add-ons. I was wrong. Hence Tom Tom users you have been warned!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Companion for around the Islands cruise, 16 Feb. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Galapagos [DVD] (DVD)
This book provides a good general overview of the wildlife you will see in the Galapagos. It is very useful in having a shoreline and underwater section to help identify some of the fish you may see.
It is not recommended for the keen birder as it's not a field guide. The excellent feature which should appeal to people on week long cruises is the section on Island Landings and Visitor Sites. This gives a good appreciation of what to expect on each island.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential Field Guide for Galapagos, 16 Feb. 2009
This book was invaluable on my recent trip to the Galapagos Islands. The photographs are very good and the book is easy to follow with good referencing throughout. The section on identifying the differences between the Darwin finches is particularly good.
The only annoying issue I have is that the book includes too many photos of birds which are classified as vagrant, recorded once. I've more chance of winning the lottery than seeing any of these!
Overall the book is highly recommended and would appeal most to birders with around 90 out of approx 160 pages devoted to birds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Our Xmas Hit 2007, 27 Dec. 2007
This review is from: Blokus (Toy)
This game was a family hit this Christmas. It was easy to pick up and play and the more attack minded your strategy the better. It's better (and quicker) with 4 players. Keep the drinks topped up and the nibbles on hand and you can have hours of fun!
