Vicks Evaporative Humidifier
Vicks Evaporative Humidifier

3.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant results, 31 Dec. 2010
The results of using this humidifier were brilliant. As an asthmatic it is about the only thing that has helped me to get a restful nights sleep. It humidifies the air in a way that doesn't make it feel damp, but I definitely notice the difference when I do and don't use it. I have given the humidifier three stars for two reasons. The first being that the filter does not last that long, though that might say more about the air that it is filtering than the filter itself. The second is that the tank is very difficult to clean. The opening is narrow so it is difficult to clean all the angles in the tank. Other than that it is stable, fairly quiet compared to others I have tried, and simple to take apart and clean (others have been much more fiddly). I would recommend it certainly, based on the effect it has.

4.0 out of 5 stars Informative and revealing, 10 Sept. 2001
As a 21 year old Cary Fan and not even having been aware of his films until he was dead, a book was the only way I had of finding out anything about him. I found this book easy and straightforward to read, though at some points a little confusing in it's comparison with or dicreditation of other authors work on the same subject. Other books I have ready since this one seem to bring Cary to life again in their tone and language, where as this one is a cold, hard and dispassionate analysis of his life, warts and all. That may be what some people are looking for, but if you don't like your heroes to be toppled from their pedestals then this book isn't for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars A feel good film, showing you there's hope yet for us all!, 5 Mar. 2001
This film is a superficial examination of society and the disparity between rich and poor though I can't see someone giving up their wealth forever! Despite its' boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy finds girl again and sweeps her off her feet sub-plot (and all the predictable events that go with it)it remains a sincere film aided by Grants' perforamce and the apparent ease with which he makes the transition from rich to poor. Having been through the reverse process in real life, the end scenes where Grant appears to appreciate his wealth all the more seem to ring truer than all the others.
