5.0 out of 5 stars Its Brilliant. You have to pay £200-£300 to better the sound. It's truly "go anywhere" portable, 5 Sept. 2009
The world is full of average products for which you pay a fair price. This isn't one of them. This plays like speakers 3-4 times the size or cost - the sound quality is not just good - its actually surprising - and puts many other big name speaker units to shame even at twice the selling price of the Logitech. I tried a dozen or more Ipod speaker systems before choosing this one for a family member - its £200-£300 before you get a truly better sound. The Logitech remote works brilliantly, the unit charges even the latest Ipods and Iphones. It has a gorgeous piano black finish, is solidly built and emulates the design values of Apple well. The only criticism I have is that smaller Ipods are not well supported on the unit as they float a bit in mid air - but other reviewers advise that using the dock that came in your original Apple packaging does improve things. Finally you can unplug this system, carry it away and still have several hours of loud music away from any mains power - enough for any beach party! Comes with a good quality ballistic nylon case and range of power plugs so is genuinely portable around the world. I'm writing this review just as I come back to buy another one for another family member. I'm a hifi buff and sensitive to sound quality - so lets be clear, it isn't Hi-Fi, but at this price point, this product more than satisfies - it's a stand out good deal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shh - Ear Addiction, 30 July 2005
This review is from: Want Two (Audio CD)
The first time I heard Rufus - I thought - OK, well that was interesting, a bit overblown, a bit rich, but worth listening to again. The second time, I was entranced, the third and I was addicted - I bought every record, saw him live, became devoted to his music, was affected by his music in a way that perhaps only Pink Floyd has ever managed before.
Rufus writes complicated emotional music with many layers and drawing on his own intense personal experiences. It takes time and effort on the part of the listener to engage. He draws on a very wide range of influences and styles and makes each his own. He makes no compromises
Be warned, he will steal your soul.
