3.0 out of 5 stars A good read, 14 Sep 2013

I liked the book but found it typical of most player/manager type of books describing games played etc. Thought Howard was a litlle bit too critical of a lot of people in the book and din't see the need for that.

Certainly different from the normal Xmas cards, and being a steam train enthusiast this card was certainly approprite for me. I was looking for something a little different to send to another enthusiast. Very Good.

A good read but not that different from the normal football books by ex players and managers. Rafa as a manager was first class but not ready for a book yet.

Obvious most of the stories are made up. As if a lottery collector could pop in to the home dressing room 20 minutes before a game. Was there any need for all the vulgar language?

Got to be the best sports book I have ever read Funny, interesting and absorbing. Not your typical football autobiography by an ex player or manager. Fully recommend.

Just read another review which is a little critical because it doesn't "dish the dirt". Anyone can " dish the dirt". The best books don't need to stoop so low, and this book is absolutely absorbing and fascinating without needing to slur people. Brilliant!

It is not just about the accountancy background that the joint author has experienced, but the book gives a very interestesting description on how this famous club was run. With some really interesting and funny stories as well.
