3.0 out of 5 stars Old school blues, 9 Sept. 2011
Bought this on the strength of a couple of tracks that gave the impression of a Led Zepp feel so a little disappointed that it's more bluesy a la Robert Cray. Some good moments though. Maybe it'll grow on me.

What a cracking CD, full of some great tunes with lyrics to match. Not been off my car CD player for a month now! Even a non-Christian could give it a whirl.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprising discovery, 9 Sept. 2011
This review is from: Circuital (Audio CD)
Having read a review rating this band highly decided to give it a punt and have not been disappointed. Difficult to describe but this album is a bit like a more rocky Fleet foxes. Good tunes/lyrics both upbeat and background music. Thinking about looking at their back catalogue.

5.0 out of 5 stars going green, 18 May 2011
Went for these after bitter disappointment with flourescent GU10 energy savers which gave poor light for 20mins before being any good. In comparison these are bright straight away and a close comparison to 'normal' spots and seem to fit in most GU10 fittings. Can barely find any fault with them other than perhaps the price but I'm hoping energy saving and longevity will soon repay this.

Sad to say some of the tracks have dated badly over time but enough here to remind why the band with the big hair were so popular. Remember seeing them live back in the day and getting a fantastic show and a couple of tracks hint at that excitement.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good introduction to Aztec camera, 18 May 2011
For someone wanting to get an idea of the breadth and diversity of Roddy Frames early work as Aztec Camera, you couldn't go far wrong. For the full effect though I'd encourage you to indulge in the albums themselves. For two full CDs, good value.

As quirky as the first CBX album and equally as enjoyable. A few duff tracks which sound a bit dated but worth a pop overall.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bunnymen bonanza, 4 Aug. 2010
What's not to like. Extensive 2CD anthology including most of the notable tracks from first albums up to The Game. All the hits and more. This is a good introduction to the bands classic back catalogue and includes much of Ocean Rain. An excellent place to start.

3.0 out of 5 stars Casual cycling shirt, 4 Aug. 2010
I'm slowly getting used to the colour which is a bit brighter than it looks on screen but it's a comfortable easy fit. handy zipped pockets 2 x breast and a hidden side pocket mean theres places to put cash or keys or multitools. Use mine mountain biking and was resistant to moisture and dirt, whether that will last after multiple washes I'm not sure but like other jeantex products I've bought, it seems well made and likely to be durable. If it was available in a wider range of colours I'd probably give it a 4/5. Certainly worth a look.

Apart from the medium initially feeling a little tight(and more like a small!) it is very effective at keeping you dry, cool and warm.Recent MTB excursions it has held up well and does what it says. Happy to recommend and good value. For winter I'd probably go long sleeved though.
