3.0 out of 5 stars Evolutionary Biology strikes again., 30 Oct. 2000
Being a string believer in Evolutionary Biology, I recommend this book to anyone who are interested in answering the "Why" of things.
The authors go in depth as to describing why evolutionary biology has been used as a approach to describe Rape and compare it other works on the subject (sometimes a bit too ostentatious though).

The Code Book: The Science of Secrecy from Ancient Egypt to Quantum Cryptography
by Simon Singh
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars Cryptology - The battle of Code Breakers Vs. The Code Makers, 27 Mar. 2000
Most scientists forget writing a book is different from writing a thesis, a book is meant for a large and a varied audience (Though every rule has an exception.).
Simon Singh has succeded in this attempt, writing the book with a clear non-tehnical, yet functional, language, supporting his views from varied branches of Science, from Optics to Egyptology to religion with the larger audience in mind.

5.0 out of 5 stars Read if you understand Physics., 13 Jan. 2000
I was disappointed, dazed and confused by the end of book. I was hoping to find detailed (mathematical) illustrations on the theories of time travel and wormholes.
Dr.Stephen Hawking has perhaps condensed the complexities of theoratical physics 'de drop.'

Genome: The Autobiography of a Species in 23 Chapters
Genome: The Autobiography of a Species in 23 Chapters
by Matt Ridley

5.0 out of 5 stars Evolutionary Biology?, 13 Jan. 2000
A splendid comprehensible review on the chemistry of human genes.
The chapter on sexual antogonism is spine chilling.

The DNA of God?
The DNA of God?
by Leoncio A.Garza- Valdes
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars Sindonology at its best, 12 Jan. 2000
This review is from: The DNA of God? (Paperback)
If you ever wondered about the biology of Jesus Christ then go ahead and read this book.
A brilliant work (though some sections are technical to a common reader)by a superb scientist describing his work on the 'Shrouds of Turin,' and his conclusion as to how the image of Christ was formed.
DR.Garza-Valdes further expresses the perlis faced by every scientists.
