people say this is the greatest soap - I suspect that is because they have different tapwater and skin to me, or they never tried anything else

this is too thick for cream, but too soft to be soap in my mind . it has a cheery eucalyptus note, but isn't so amazing. crabtree and evelyn nomad nicer

5.0 out of 5 stars The best, 23 July 2012

if you found the feather brand here, you no doubt are looking for it after seeing them applauded elsewhere

i wondered if it was all true, and it is - very sharp, cut clean, and are a different experience altogether to other blades - real class above. they last me a week per blade

i use them in a merkur futur - can't imagine anyone who can properly use a DE razor not liking these

PS: I had over a month's DE experience before buying, and have used over 10 different blade makes

5.0 out of 5 stars can't ask for more, 23 July 2012

hesitant in purchasing after people couldn't get it to work, but I don't know what they were doing - easy peasy. my car regularly flashes up error messages, and not knowing if they're serious I always used to ask a garage

sometimes they'd do free diagnosis, sometimes not, but 50% were just phantom errors, with no code, that never returned

I have wiped 3 phantom codes from my car since I bought this - easily saved me 90 minutes on 3 trips to a garage, never mind the cost. I would have happily paid £40 if I had to for the benefit I had from it to date

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the book, 23 July 2012

I recently read the original book , and had a vague recollection that the Coppola film in 1992 was quite faithful to the imagery put into my head. Coppola having made some great films, I thought to watch the film again, to see if it was as good as the book

They are VERY different. It would be fair to say that the book would be hard to just use as a screenplay, but this book diverges from the actual plot so badly that I really think it wrong to describe it as 'Bram Stoker's Dracula'. Bram Stoker is probably spinning in his grave somewhere at the idea Mina goes on a date with Dracula in a circus showing films

Separate to this not being faithful to the story, there isn't a decent performance in it. The only person who comes close to being realistic is Anthony Hopkins, who in turn trashes the scholarly Van Helsing and turns him into some eccentric loon

the other people in the cast were all popular 20 years ago, but no one has lasted. The chap who plays 'Renfield' actually represents the book version pretty well, in fairness, but he isn't in turn a good actor

poor film, but to me the big sin is claiming it is 'Bram Stoker's' - it isn't. I don't know if there is a good film version of the story, because i have no interest in the genre, but can recommend the book

4.0 out of 5 stars Happy shopper, 19 May 2012

I bought this size 9.5 trainer online because, despite living in a decent sized city, I can never get 9.5 size trainers

I would normally try to see them in a shop first, but I couldn't be bothered and just bought them. They're just as they look and as I expected, very happy. Delivery wasn't the fastest though

4.0 out of 5 stars OK, but no epiphany, 19 May 2012

I've used a lot of different solid soaps, and saw a lot of people rave about cream being above soap

maybe some creams are, but this isn't. I think it you let it dry solid, you'd have about 50g of soap to rehydrate, making it worse value than soaps you can buy for lots less

that said, it is nice stuff. it would be a nice gift for someone to pamper themselves, so long as they like marzipan

bought for a 2 year old - not many magnets of a small size not meriting the cost. Other magnets give more for money

I've tried lots of soaps. This is a bit expensive for what it is - quite drying, and not so creamy

I like the smell, but it isn't the best. I don't know why it has such a high rating

5.0 out of 5 stars unnecessary indulgence, 4 May 2012
I am not sure why, but I just had to have this razor. The feel, weight nad engineering is the sort of solid German thing I suspect a lot of men would like, but maybe can't afford to pay 200k for in their car

That isn't a problem with a razor that is only £50 more than the entry level model

I like it - can't say more than that
