5.0 out of 5 stars Best terminator since T2, 11 July 2015
Went to see Terminator genisys at the cinema last night and found myself enjoying quite a lot. Schwarzengger returns to the roll of the terminator from the future sent back to this time save sarah conner when she was a chid. This in turn creates an a different timeline to the one from the first terminator film. When kyle Reese is sent though time to 1984 by John conner, to protect his mother he finds himself in the other timeline were sarah unlike her original self is ready for Kyle and the T-800 who was sent save her and kill her. She has help from her T-800 who she calls pops. Skynet will not give up that easy though and sends John Conner himself back as a new Terminator/Human hybrid to ensure it comes online in 2017. Sarah and Kyle travel to that time to prevent Skynet's birth with the help of the now old T-800. Can they stop there own Son from helping Skynet start Judgement day or will the machines rise again ?

I really enjoy this film a lot more then T3 and T Salvation. There a a few questions left hanging for future movies to pick up on but it will be one I will get on blu - ray.

5.0 out of 5 stars Star Trek Into Darknees, 19 May 2013
John Harrison "I Am Better"

James T Kirk "At What?"

John Harrison "EVERYTHING"

With them words this say everything about this film, Star Trek into Darkness is better then the first film of the rebooted STAR TREK film series by JJ Abrams. Where the first film showed a new cast taking on the roles of the old actors who use to play Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Uhura, Scotty, Sulu, Chekov and their Commander Chris Pike. this time everyone gets there time to shine.

The Bad Guy this time is John Harrison played by Benedict Cumberbatch. Killing comes easy to this man who is not easy to put down as Kirk and Spock will discover. They also find he has another name and a dark past.

If the first film was about a man who needed to find his destiny, this one is about a man who puts his crew first and above all including himself. A great film and one of the best STAR TREK Movies to date. if there is a 3rd film to come it will be hard to beat INTO DARKNESS for its Action and DARKNESS. 10 OUT OF 10

Doctor Who : Ghost Light [DVD] [1989]
Dvd ~ Sylvester McCoy
Price: £6.99

5.0 out of 5 stars The Real McCoy - Ghost light, 9 Jan. 2012
Ghost light is one of the best of McCoy's last series as The Doctor. Both Sylvester and Sophie are on fine form as The 7th Doctor and Ace, with more of Ace's back story being found out and The Doctor playing dark games from the shadows against the people of Gabrial Chase. If you have to get any 7th Doctor DVD make sure it's this one

3.0 out of 5 stars A Safe 2011 Doctor who Xmas Special, 9 Jan. 2012
I am a long time fan of Doctor Who and I do like like this christmas special but there is something about that is a little to safe, unlike 2010 christmas episode that had some sort of theat this one is played safe, I watched this episode but felt at no time that The Doctor and his companions were in danger, even the tree aliens were not the bad guys that I thought they wouuld be on the trailer for this episode turned out to be good. The The three tree harvesters are from Androzani Major are played mostly for comady monents which was good but I feel if it was not the tree aliens who are evil, they would be, but no they end up disapearing after less then 10 mins.

There are some great stand out bits in this episode with The Doctor leaping from the spacecraft to catch a spacesuit, and when the woman takes him back to his TARDIS he ends up going into a ordanery Police box because his helmet is on back to fornt. Also when he invite the woman and her chilren into the house, he has made it fun for the kids which makes them think he is a madman.

The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe is a safe Doctor Who episode for christmas day, if Doctor Who was on once a year I think people would like this episode more but after the Russel T Daves years and two series of Steven Moffet I cant help thinking Moffet could have done better. The last part of the episode when The Doctor vists Amy and Rory two years after he left them in The Widding of River Song. It shows he does have a family he can come back to, but how long can it last. In 2012 the final days of Amy and Rory are coming and as the Doctor close's the Ponds fornt door how long can he keep them safe even if they don't travel with him any more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best series yet, 9 Jan. 2012
Series 4 of Merlin has to be the best the show has done yet, Colin Morgan, Bradley James, Angel Coulby and Katie McGrath continue to give their best to their characters of Merlin, Arther Pendragon, Gwen and the now fully evil Morgana Pendragon who wants nothing more then total revenge on Merlin, Arther and the whole of Camelot for the death of her sister Morgause who was badly hurt at the end of the last series.

Arther becomes King this series after the death of his father King Uther Pendragon, who having been broken by Morgana is a shadow of the man he was for the last 3 series. He saves Arther from being killed but is hurt and close to death himself. Merlin trys to heal him but with a spy in the kingdom working for Morgana he is unable to save him. Arther becomes king but blames magic for his fathers death and keeps it banned from Camelot.

Their are so many stand out stories in this series from Morgana bewitching Merlin to kill King Arther to Gwen unknowingly betraying Arther and hurting him so much she she banshed form Camlot, to Arther taking a sword from a stone to retake his Kingdom from Morgana at the end of the series. All I can say is I hope series 5 is a good as series 4 and long may MERLIN continue on tv for a long time to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Goodbye My Sarah Jane, 8 Jan. 2012
Series 1 to 5 of the Sarah Jane Adventure staring the late and very missed Elisabeth Sladen, The last series is one of the very best of all 5 and im glad they were able to make it before she passed on, from Sarah becoming a new mother to an alien child called Sky to Clyde becoming cursed and have Sarah, Rani and his friend and family turn on him, and then the return of Luke Smith teaming up with his mother, new sister and friends to take on a computer called a SerfBoard and Joseph Serf, it's creator.

It would have been interesting to find out how this series would have ended if Lis had not died but this is not the time for what if's, The Man Who Never Was is a good end to the Sarah Jane Adventures and as the episode says at the end ---------- "And the story goes on... forever

5.0 out of 5 stars Three Times The Magic, 5 Dec. 2010
What a great 3rd series of Merlin, best yet and everyone is on top form. After the events of series 2 a whole year has past in the search for Morgana, but when Merlin and Arther find her in the woods it look like everything will go back to normal.
But all is not as it seams to be, Morgana has turned to evil and with her half sister plans the downfull of Camalot and Uther.

100% brillent series and I can't wait for the next series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Time and The Rani, 20 Dec. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
When the TARDIS is forced to materialise on the planet Lakertya The Doctor and Mal are both knocked out by the force of the landing. In console room soon after the ship has landed, The Doctor begins his Seventh Regeneration. Taken by the Rani to her base he is forced to work an evil plan of Rani's making.

I first watched Time and The Rani on Video 7 months ago and was surprised by how good it is, this come at a time when Doctor Who entered a time of unrest by an 18-month production hiatus before The Trial of a Time Lord.

Colin Baker didn't come back to the role so it was passed to Sylvester McCoy who having to where a wig for a few seconds, (due to filming the regeneration) makes the role of the Doctor his own.

Most if not all people don't like Time and The Rani and it's easy to see way, the first few minutes showing his, but when you think about it, by the time the show ended in Survival(out now on DVD), a lot of people had come back to Doctor Who and seen the the Seventh Doctor, become one to rival Tom Baker for people affections.

Anyway I like Time and The Rani, I hope now CGI will be put in for the first few minutes like they did with most Doctor who DVD's, and also that Sylvester and Bonnie Langford who played Mel will do a commentary and a documentary for this story.

4.0 out of 5 stars Aliens Vs Predator - Requiem, 17 Mar. 2008
When I went to watch AvP2 I was notpeing for the greatest film in the planet, so I was surprised how far this film went in order to get away for the last AvP,

In a nut shell - at the end of the last film the predalien comes out of the Predator from the first film, It kills the Predators on the ship, sending it crashing to earth, the facehuggers survive the crash, find and infect a Man and his son (first time u see children used a hosts) and soon the aliens are up and about and doing what thay do best. A hunter from the Predator homeplanet is sent to clean up the mess and distory the aliens who have found there way in to a town. But when he arrives on Earth he finds the Predalien witch gives him a run for his money.

The Predalien it's self is well created and the face off between both creatres as well as the aliens makes this film a lot better than the last.

This film may not be the greatest of all Predator/Alien films but if u just look at it as the Kill all type movie, it's not all that bad as it could have been worse.
