1.0 out of 5 stars Not compatible with Windows 8, 19 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The Amazon product description doesn't make clear that the printer is not compatible with Windows 8. Tried to download a fix but the wireless feature doesn't work. We're not exactly technically gifted in our household but it really shouldn't be that difficult should it? Carefully check before buying.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ripped by the valve and now useless...., 1 Sept. 2012

This review is from: Coleman Comfort Airbed (Sports)
Was fine for the first month and then I noticed it was starting to deflate through the night. I saw that there was a tear next to the valve, and the repair patch didn't work because the tear was right next to the valve. As a month had expired since I bought it I couldn't return it to Amazon. What a waste of money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gedge does it again, 27 May 2012

This review is from: Valentina (MP3 Download)
As is typical of a new WP album, it takes a few times to listen to before you suddenly realise yet again you're hooked. Most tracks are excellent, but the real stand out ones for me are Meet Cute, 524 Fideleo and End Credits - some of Gedge's best songs ever.

Better than Sea Monsters, Watusi and El Ray...maybe not quite Bizarro and Hit Parade, but their best album since Saturnalia.

5.0 out of 5 stars "This is it, Zauis...the end of the world!", 19 Nov. 2005
Sheer magic. The previous film left with astronaut Taylor hunched in despair in front of the statue of liberty...feeling more lost and alone than ever. This film kicks off from this moment as Taylor and Nova head deeper into the Forbidden Zone...and come across a race of crazed and mutated humans who live beneath the ruins of New York and worship a Doomsday bomb.
Meanwhile, astronaut Brent also crash lands on the planet on a mission to rescue Taylor, but ends up in a similar pickle to Taylor in the previous film - alone and stranded and pursued by the apes.
Having learnt of the potential threat from the mutants, the apes (led by General Ursus and Zauis) send an army into the Forbidden Zone. Apes, mutants and astronauts all battle it out before the Doomsday bomb - the holy weapon - in a stunning climax!

5.0 out of 5 stars Where it all began - amazing monster mayhem!, 24 Nov. 2004

This review is from: The Monster Legacy [DVD] (DVD)
The synopsis and other reviews cover quite well the technical contents of these discs (and therefore help inform completists), so I thought it would be worthwhile commenting on why this box set might attract the casual browser.
These films collect all Frankenstein, Dracula and Wolfman films made by Universal in the 30s and 40s and each generally lasts just over an hour. Make sure you watch them in the right date order because they have jumbled them up amongst the discs - but by watching them in the right order it will not only make each sequel a little bit clearer but you will also delight in spotting the many inconsistencies from one film to the next (eg Wolfman getting shot in House of Frankenstein and then re-appearing in House of Dracula without any apparent explanation!).
The stunning sets of ruined castles and foggy graveyards, the highly effective black and white contrasts, the emphasis on facial expressions (still left over from silent films) - all simply add to the eerie and wierdly wonderful ambience.
Much of the acting is superb, particularly from Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi - but hidden gems include the performance of Colin Clive (Henry Frankenstein) from Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein. The scene where he triumpantly screams "He's alive!Alive!" will retain its place in cinematic history. His next line "My God! My God! Now I know what it feels like to be God!" was, interestingly, censored from the original release in 1931.
If you are either watching these for the first time, or re-living those Saturday night Horror Double Bills from the 70s, you are in for a treat. Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Monster Mayhem!, 27 Nov. 2001
Bless him. Lon Chaney Jnr tries hard but it was never going to be easy filling Karloff's (oversized) boots. However, there are some great moments in this film, such as the Monster wanting to look after a little girl who befriends him, and the final scene when the hunchback, Ygor (Lugosi in good form), swaps brains with the Monster.
What is puzzeling, though, is why Universal chose not to issue the film before this one, The Son of Frankenstein..
