5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fantastic, 8 Mar 2013
This review is from: Water For Elephants [DVD] (DVD)
I've just watched this film and it is amazing. I havent read the book but it is definitely on my reading list now. The acting was brillant and the story is very moving. Elephants are my favourite animals so to see one as wonderful as Rosie is beautiful. I hated it when August was hurting her. I always think humans and animals work better with kindness. Definitely a must watch, it is brillant

5.0 out of 5 stars Deliciously Amazing, 14 Feb 2013
I received this book for my birthday because I love baking and because two of my most wanted recipes are in this book; the white chocolate rainbow cake and the red velvet cheesecake. Its beauitfully laid out, simple instructions and I cant wait to bake them all. I've recently watched Edd on TGBBO and his baking was practically flawless, the deserved winner. Fantatstic book, fantastic recipes from a fantastic baker

West Ham United F.C. PS3 Controller Skin Official Licensed Product
Offered by The Footie Store
Price: 8.95

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Christmas Present, 6 Jan 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
My step father in law is a huge west ham fan but also a huge ps3 fan and this gift was perfect for his tree present. He loved it and couldn't wait to put it on. The description should probably change to a controller sticker rather than a skin but it's very easy to put on and stays put. A very good product and the delivery was fast.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it, so much fun, 2 May 2012

I love this workout dvd. I only do 20 minutes a day but I think thats more than enough. It gets me going into a right sweat. My favourite section is the third section which is the get fit club mix. I think its so much fun, I love the raise the roof move. My least favourite section is the fifth section, the ballet sculpt. I only dislike it because it makes my arms really ache. I definitely recommend this dvd if you want to workout but have fun whilst doing it

2.0 out of 5 stars Not effective for me, 2 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I only use this workout twenty minutes at a time but it takes a real effort to get myself motivated to do it. I just find it boring and I dont feel like its working. I pull naval to spine throughout the entire workout but yet my tummy is fine, I dont even sweat. I'm sure its a good workout but it just doesn't work for me

3.0 out of 5 stars Finished reading 20/04/12, 20 April 2012
I finished this book today and felt I had to write a review.

Honestly this book has left me slightly annoyed. After everything Constance went through with her mother she was still protecting her. I'm sorry but if I had gone through everything that Constance had gone through I wouldn't have given up the fight as soon as I was abandoned. Why is it whilst she's living with her mother she is able to fight back in most of her fights but as soon as her mother leaves her she seems to give up the fight and just settles; yet in her life she goes from strength to strength in her survival. Surely her independence would have powered her to stop the constant abuse from her mother. Her mother left her with nothing and then kept coming back to take whatever little Constance had gained. I would have gone to social services to stop her mothers benefits for her, gone to the police about abandonment. I can imagine in the late 70s early 80s both authorities weren't as decent as they are now but they must have been able to do something. Instead Constance battled on her own with the help from some kind individuals.

It just doesn't make sense how this remarkable girl so determined to be a barrister, determined to survive her independence and at the beginning was determined to fight back against her mother just stopped fighting and started settling with her mother. Giving her mother whatever she asked for, allowing her to take her things and leave her with nothing everytime she visited.

Other than that Constance is a remarkable person with incredible strength and determination and hats off to her for accomplishing her dreams when so many others laughed at her for even having the thought. Dreams shouldn't have barriers!!!

Lovers and Newcomers
Lovers and Newcomers

3.0 out of 5 stars Too much of an effort, 28 Dec 2011
This review is from: Lovers and Newcomers (Paperback)
I was very much looking forward to reading this book. It seemed exciting and would be a very enjoyable read. However it was not. It required a lot of effort to read this book, and took longer than what it usually takes for me to read a book. The plot would have been interesting but it was never gripping, never exciting and just portrayed in a dull and predictable way. Sadly no recommendation from me to read this

I very much enjoyed reading this book, it was easy laid back reading, the plot was predictable but the ending wasn't as mushy as it might seem. I would recommend this book for some light no fuss reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars =] very excited for Essex uni being mentioned, 7 Oct 2010
I absolutly loved reading this book. I couldn't put it down. The thing that got me the most excited was it being set in Colchester and mentioning the University of Essex. In July I graduated from that University so the descriptions of colchester and the campus were in full detail for me as I knew exactly what they looked like.

The killing of pregnant women does turn your stomach but it is well written that even the weak-stomached could handle it.

This book is very well written, gripping and amazing to read. A definite recommendation =]

5.0 out of 5 stars =], 30 Sep 2010
This review is from: The Secret Mandarin (Paperback)
I loved this book, I could hardly put it down. I borrowed this book from my flatmate and she wasn't too keen on it so I wasn't hoping for much but when I started reading it I couldnt stop. I loved how it was so detailed about China and that the romance was delayed until the end. Sometimes I was nervous hoping they wouldn't get caught. My only negative is that the whole adventure went a little too smooth but since its based on historical fact of Robert Fortune I can't complain too much. Definitely give this book a chance =]
