Kove this book!, 29 Nov. 2006
We love this very thoughtful book. We have a seven-year-old daughter who didn't sleep through the night until age 2, and then only sporadically. It was rough enough to make us only want one child. Imagine our surprise when we learned we were expecting again! As we got closer to the due date, I asked our pediatrician to recommend a book on sleep. She sent me to this book, and I have read it, reread it, and LOVE it. It combines the attachment parenting that we enjoyed with our daughter, with more realistic sleep strategies so that we are happier and more rested parents. I especially the your comparison story of carrying Coleton in the sling during baseball practice. It is a real motivator, and focuses us on the kind of parents we ultimately want to be while still giving practical, nuts-and-bolts tools for a well-rested family.
