Master Of War (Master of War 1)

1.0 out of 5 stars Good book - but same book as Master of War: The blooding available for 29p., 20 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Same book - different cover - either the author or the publisher trying to con people. The 'Afterword' starts that Blackstone's destiny is revealed in Master of War published 01 Aug 13. Rip off by David Gilman would be more accurate.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job - robust tool, 14 Oct 2013

There were a number of cheaper options available - but most had poor reviews. This tool is solid heavy and is ideal for its purpose.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cash generator, 29 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very short, good, but little more than a cash generator for the author/publisher - certainly not worth the money. It seems the author's priorities are now similar to the least likeable of her Roman characters.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing lack of detail, 4 Nov 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
In reality a collection of articles from a well known Landy mag. Pretty pictures, a general how to - but a frustrating lack of detail, especially when it comes to wiring diagrams etc. Promotes a number of suppliers, but info is obviously out of date. A waste of money.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very little useful info - mainly padding, 22 Jun 2012
This review is from: The Natural Navigator (Hardcover)
The useful information could be condensed into a small booklet. It's a shame than some much useless padding is included.

2.0 out of 5 stars Title designed for marketing, 5 Jan 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very disappointing - the title is very misleading and the book is little more than a few reprinted articles with no continuity. In my view a complete rip off - I need to remeber to avoid Brooklands in the future

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolute rubbish, 17 Dec 2007
This review is from: The Quest (Paperback)
Wilbur Smith was a great author - unfortunately he wrote the Quest, a rambling, tiresome and ridiculous supernatural story which is a huge disappointment after his earlier excellent books.

3.0 out of 5 stars Which bloody book is it, 5 Jan 2007
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The end of the world will come from the east/the scourge of god - the same book advertised slightly differently (and Attila (Triology 1)) I don't know whether it si supposed to be a 'clever' marketing ploy or what. I won't be buying any more William Napier until he can get some consistency in his advertising as well as his writing
