5.0 out of 5 stars Great bit of kit, 10 Dec. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Great bit of kit....I am mega impressed with this pocket dynamite of sound. I usb'd some of my old Vinyl onto my computer and then transferred the WAV files to my ITunes....now I have 'Ziggy Stardust', 'PLease, Please Me', 'Hounds of Love' and 'Let it Bleed' all singing through this little speaker and filling the whole room with a cacophony of sound. Jagger's snarling 'You Cant Always Get What You Want' ...Kate Bush simmering 'You know what I really need? and Lennon's desperate 'Please, Please Me' stand out crystal clear and every click, crackle and pop can be heard [Funny how much better it is when it's not Re-jigged this and Re-jigged that], just good old fashioned Annologue...My LP's can be safely stored in bubble wrap, and hidden in a box in the dark ready to put on E-Bay so I can sell them for another one of these baby Boomers so I can get it all in stereo. Cos now I know how good they sound through this I can download for posterity and listen as often as I like without fear of scratching or scuffing my precious Vinyl...5 Stars from me..Recommended

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a fascinating read and gives a layman's account ..., 29 July 2014

This is a fascinating read and gives a layman's account of Global Warming....Using Ice core samples from the arctic and Ant-artic, John Kehr comes up with a convincing argument [for me] that the current warming trend and extreme weather is part of Earths Climatic cycle, and is no different, and to some extent less extreme than the weather that has raged around the planet for millions of years in the past and in the not so distant past. He argues the long term trend of Earth cooling [The last 1000 years are the coldest mean average in the last 10.0000] poses a far greater threat to humanity than the current warming trend. Crops grow in a warmer temperate climate, they do not grow in an Ice Age
Draw your own conclusions from the evidence he produces but either way it cant do any harm to arm yourself with the alternate take on what is happening to our planet against the views and persuasions of those that may have a more political and financial motive. All in all a thoroughly enlightening read

This book is a must for the aspiring songwriter. As well as detailed information about the pitfalls of a newcomer to the market the book also highlights the tried and tested successful Verse, Chorus, Verse progressions etc. Being new to song writing myself I revisited some old songs after reading this book and reworked them using some of the advice given and I have to say the are greatly improved....Well worth buying even if you think you have mastered the art...and even for a casual reader the book is interesting in it's own right...Recommended

Great Album and good to see modern day prog rock moving in different directions. So different from the likes of Porcupine Tree but deservedly in the same genre...I love it
