5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning lens, 21 Nov. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very small and light making my Nikon 1 truly easy to manage. The quality of image is terrific as is the speed at which you can take a picture which is more to do with the Nikon 1. I use this lens most of the time and it looks and feels absolutely right for the camera. With the lens fitted it is very easy to remove and replace the camera in the Nikon 1 camera bag. Engineering quality of the lens is top notch, although I expect this from Nikon, and this is not a cheap purchase. Naturally as it is a fixed and not a telephoto lens it does not have the facility to switch on the Nikon 1 like the popular telephoto lens that normally come with the Nikon 1 but this is a non issue as camera switch on and use has got to be among the quickest on the market with the incredibly fast autofocus of the Nikon 1. One final and very important point - it's ability to take pictures in low light is very good indeed. To the extent that I rarely need to use flash

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent travelling companion for Nikon 1, 21 Nov. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bag size is in proportion to camera so convienant for travelling. Very well made item and looks rather smart. Easy to access camera with Velcro fastener at end of zipped tongue. This means while in use you do not have to constantly zip and re-zip the Velcro keeps the lid on things, pull it and pick. With 10mm lens on camera there is room for two more lenses or one more lens and flash unit. Internal compartment dividers are Velcro so can be moved but I found it fine as delivered. Feels absolutely right for my Nikon 1 collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars An accurate clock, 14 Jan. 2011
Insert batteries correctly, clock bursts into life and the hands start to spin Alice in Wonderland style - it then stops but not necessarily at the correct time this activity was to show it is seeking the time signal. Be patient for up to 24 hours in my case it was 4 hours and suddenly next time you look, the clock is at the right time and has kept it ever since. When new batteries are due I guess it will be same process. Face is easy to read and second hand reassures it is working.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intuitive easy to use, 14 Jan. 2011
Nice size and feel in the hand for both men and women although men with really large hands will find it a little fiddly. All controls on back face come easy to hand, easy to understand and easy to select and operate. Quality feels good with nice use of metal case and good quality feel to plastic control wheels and buttons. Viewfinder is good size, so composing picture is easy and beautifully clear. Manufactuirng quality is good, it is a decent weight, but not heavy, in the hand so feels solid and right. Its USP the panoramic shot is a treat to use and I am pleased with results. It has all the other features you come to expect, but remember it does not come with an SD card. I see the sense in this as the size of the card will vary with your personal use. A big SD card if you plan to take movie footage and plan to keep lots of pics in the camera, a smaller card if you mainly take pics and save to PC. Chances are you will have an SD card you can use or indeed the Sony memory stick - it takes both. Finally the picture quality is terrific but remember you do not have to take every shot at 14mega pixels you can select smaller size pixel pics which still gives you excellent quality for viewing on PC, TV or 4x6 prints and makes it easier to send to friends and takes up less space on disk. Finally I was so impressed I bought two, one for each daughter. They tell me they love these little cameras, use them regularly and love the little glam cases from Sony that are expensive but if you shop around can get for cheaper than list.
