5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, was suprised when delivered., 1 Jun 2014

Great price, took off roughly 8-12'degrees (According to Speccy, but some say it's inaccurate).

Was suprised when it delivered of this size, both the fan and heatsink are significantly larger than Intels stock.

Doesn't get in the way of RAM though, points for that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Would recommend for PC Gamers also., 1 Jun 2014

This is identical to the Xbox controller but I haven't been able to use it with an Xbox yet. If anyone knows how to solve this, please let me know in the comments.

The controller. If you are unsure about trying a controller for your PC, let me tell you it's great. Obviously keyboard+Mouse is the clear winner in all gaming aspects but it is nice to have a controller on the side, maybe you have friends round or whatever, maybe your PC is in the lounge and you are using Steam Big-Screen on Steam OS or whatever.

But what controller do you pick? Do you get something from Logitech? Do you get a Sony Dualshock? After trying many, I can vouch for the Xbox controller but it is important to note that IT IS PERSONAL PREFERENCE. Whatever sits in your hand nicest.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good cable ties at good price., 1 Jun 2014

Now I'm not sure what makes a good cable tie but I ought to make a review.

If you have a computer, or as many cables as a computer, get Cable-ties. It's as simple as that. Since they are so cheap, just go nuts with them, throw them on everything. Good cable management makes your life so much easier, and generally looks good. It's strangely satisfying to see a spaghetti of cables transformed into these organised networks, and so cheaply too.

Something to note is that if you have a thick branch of cables and these ties don't fit, you can put the end of one tie into the head of another to make it larger so it can fit round thick cables.

I've heard people say not to spend more than £3 on cables since they are identical, but I've also found that buying cheap cables ends up with faulty/broken short cables.

Good thing though is that theses cables are cheap, and not faulty. How about that;- 5 stars because "It works".

I ended up losing the batteries in the post and lost my money. The seller was very helpful though and offered a refund but I forgot to email back. No idea why but there you go.

Batteries are batteries, I reckon the specifications are correct, I bought some more and they've worked fine for a long period.
Good price too, local stores are always twice the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good scope, great price, terrible tripod, 1 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Just managed to make out Saturn's rings with this cheap little scope, so I guess now's a better time than any to write a review.

£50, this seems like the perfect beginners telescope. It's super-portable, easy to setup; you're good to go in minutes. This is important for someone wanting to try a new hobby. If you want to use it to look at wildlife, great. Again, nothing is more portable, it can all fit into a small backpack. If you want to use it for astronomy, it's good, but not great. It's possible to make out Saturn's rings, see Jupiter's 4 sisters if you're lucky but beginners shouldn't be alarmed if they don't see anything special immediately.

The tripod. Ugh, it just does not sit still. The whole thing just flexes when you want to adjust the aim, it's extremely frustrating.

Whoops! this review was sounding quite negative but now I'm remembering it costs £50 and not £200. Get this telescope as a cheap way of trying out a hobby. If you do get into astronomy and end up buying an expensive telescope, you can keep this as a secondary portable telescope too!

3.0 out of 5 stars The K65 cost £7 more, get that. Great design, but has membrane switches., 1 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
You shouldn't really spend more than £20 on a keyboard if it's membrane, but I can make an exception for this at £50 (Actually this is now £65, so don't get it).

The design is phenomenal, brushed Aluminium, plenty of macro keys if you have the desk space, great multimedia keys (Seriously, the scroll volume is so good) and the backlight (and settings) are really good.

But it is membrane.

If you aren't sure why this makes it a 3-star, it is because membrane key-switches (Rubber domes) are cheap, nasty, don't last long and more importantly are exactly the same in this keyboard as the switches in a £5 keyboard from 10 years ago). Mechanical switches are the alternative, and although at first glance they can seem pricey, it really is worth it to spend just that little extra on a mechanical. It is so important to stress that Mechanical keyboards are not Placebos too.

CONCLUSION:
Since this is a membrane, it really shouldn't cost much. The unbeatable design, quality, backlight, keycaps, multimedia keys, macro keys justify a price of up to £50, but no higher. If you find one at £50, get it, but right now the price is at £65- far too much. £65 isn't much less than a mechanical keyboard, most notably £7 less than the K65. Think about it. The K70 is only £35 more, and that is more than twice the value.

That being said, Razer are still selling membrane keyboards at a higher cost which is pretty funny. I think there is also a Mad catz membrane keyboard for over £200. Insane.

Get a mechanical if this still costs £65. If you find one at £50 or less, I can totally recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Hardware ruined by software, 1 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought these headphones under the premise that I wanted comfort over sound/build quality; They are extremely comfortable.

They sound quality is superb, the dolby 7.1 makes a non-intrusive 'echo' which makes you feel as if you are listening to say an orchestra in a large concert hall rather than recording of them in a small room. Very immersive.

Built nicely, looks great, sounds excellent- BUT COMES AT A PRICE

Not a financial price, they are very cheap. No, I'm talking about the cable. As well as it being a ridiculously short lead, flimsy and weak, the cable is a USB connection. Just why? Who thought this was a good idea? If you have a soundcard, forget using it. And it comes with a whole array of driver issues, which I'm suprised PlanTronics hasn't ironed out.

They are loud, which usually is good thing but good lord it's not. For windows users, think of it like volume =x+50. If you put it at 25 volume, then it's 75. And more importantly if you put it at 0 it's now 50. It's too loud even when you put the volume at 0.

There are driver fixes (From handy volunteers, PlanTronics haven't done jack), but all of which remove the dolby 7.1 software I mentioned earlier. So you choose between sound quality or F***** volume control.

CONCLUSION:
Great headphones, fantastic price, the USB connection wrecks it (Seriously, why not 3.5mm Aux?)

2.0 out of 5 stars Wrong Size - A third specified, 17 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Quality wise the bags are what you'd expect for the price- Not in any way heavy duty but good for light use.

But the 2-stars is for the sizing error. The picture says 150x220mm (or 6x9" for you american folk). THIS IS WRONG, THE BAGS ARE A THIRD THE SIZE @ 80x60mm or 2x6".

If you want these small bags that's great, but choose your application carefully- I was going to use them for things that needed a large size, but now I can't.

Sumvision Indigo LED USB Multimedia Keyboard

4.0 out of 5 stars The most you should spend on a Membrane keyboard, 21 Jan 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Had this well over a year now, some of the rubber-dome switches have lost their elasticisers/plasticisers so they stick down often, wear is not noticeable. Now using it as a Dvorak spare.

(These are pretty picky Pros/Cons)
PROS
- None of the keys have shown any kind of wear or letter fading
- Very bright backlight, seen at many angles
- Suprisingly nice piano finish
- It is quite narrow at 15cm which can be a bad thing, but it is necessary if you have a narrow desk
- Good material makes fingerprinting hard to spot

CONS
- Left shift key is extremely small
- Some keys have stayed down when pushed
- The layout is not comfortable at all
- The multimedia keys are pretty terrible

This is a good keyboard, for the price. The rubber dome switches are exactly the same as what you'd find on a membrane Razer keyboard. Get a mechanical if you're planning on spending more money.
