I enjoy the rhythm of Paul Golding’s writing and his use of language. ..simply worth reading just for this! The story makes for uncomfortable reading at times as the territory/issues are challenging. But as with his novel, ‘Senseless', the level of detail and nuance that he describes through his lead character ..are simply stunning.
I enjoyed the rhythm of the writing and the use of language. Also I thought the novel an interesting look at some challenging issues. We are drawn into Anita’s world and with each turn of the page we learn the secrets that lurk there. Although Anita has a Caribbean heritage, this novel speaks to all cultures.
If you love your music Old School ... I recommend you check out 'Gimme' on this cool album. The Experience album is just that..one to chill out to. Every track has substance and the hottest track speaks for itself. Down right FUNKY! Smile. The Darlings of Soho
I found this book to be a great reference for the academic and lay person, who wishes to learn more about the various perspectives that make up the rastafari movement. That it not only looks at the historical context but illuminates the present..gives us the reader, real insight into possible developments for the future. Fascinating!!
