5.0 out of 5 stars AS CLOSE TO FRESH COCONUT AS POSSIBLE!, 27 Mar 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Lets start with a little redress of some negative comments; this is made from coconuts and strangely enough you can expect it to taste of..........coconuts! I'm not going to proclaim it as being sent from a celestial place but can confirm it is a lovely drink - if you like coconuts! The taste is milder than a fresh coconut but there is a certain reassurance when drinking as you get the occasional grain of coconut flesh which I enjoyed. An observation when we were tasting it was that there was a hint of chocolate aroma and taste that we were not expecting but again this added to the enjoyment and kind of made it feel like a guilty pleasure without the sin!

I have not noticed anyone mentioning the full Nutritional Values:

Per 100ml (each bottle is 500ml therefore multiply the following by 5)
Calories: 21 kcal (105 kcal)
Energy: 86 kj (430 kj)
Total Fat: 0g (0g)
Total Carbohydrate: 5.2g (26g)
Natural Sugars: 4.7g (23.5g)
Protein: 0.3g (1.5g)

Short of shinning up a tree to pick your own or going to the supermarket to buy a "fresh" coconut this is the best alternative!

3.0 out of 5 stars NO INSTRUCTIONS?, 26 Mar 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Creatorverse (App)
I'm with the other reviewers here; Kindle Fire HD and no instructions or tutorials that I can access. It can only mean one of two things, a) it's an IQ test and you have to figure out where they are (I failed), or b) it's a multi-platform glitch?

This game has a massive potential and the developers need to sort out a basic tutorial platform (which is mentioned in the game?).

Simple graphics can work against a game but with Voxel Invaders it just adds to the charm of the game. A great game with great gameplay and if you liked invaders or galaxions then you will lap this up!

5.0 out of 5 stars BIG, BOLD AND TASTY, 21 Mar 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I can remember reading a review about The Bowler and thought it would be a great place to eat. It is, and the book brings this simple yet incredibly tasty concept into the home. Vanquish any thoughts of beige balls of miscellaneous meat that you may have perused on a super market shelf - this book provides a the real deal. I think where this book excels is that it provides easy to follow recipes that novice cooks can easily get to grips, children will love and accomplished home cooks appreciate. It really does offer something that is really fun and tasty yet accessible to all.

Another book worthy of the cookery book shelf.

1.0 out of 5 stars FAILED TO WORK, 18 Mar 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I must have been supplied with a faulty unit as it would not work with BT line. Followed the setup, logged on to the router and set it to BT but would not connect to the internet. Disconnected, downloaded firmware and updated - still did not work. In my opinion it's just one of those things - not all electronic devices work (even though they are meant to). Luckily for me this was a review model and I had not spent money on it but if you were a customer then the annoyance factor would be an issue but you could get it replaced. For objectivity I had to give 1 star even though I know the brand and think they make good kit 99% of the time. Shame.

MetroFlash Danger Zone Tail Light
MetroFlash Danger Zone Tail Light
Offered by GsportsUK
Price: £29.99

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCEPTIONAL, 18 Mar 2013
Every now and again you come across a product that offers excellent value for money and delivers exceptional results. The MetroFlash is one of the these products. After popping the 2 x AAA batteries supplied into the coin opened water proofed unit, I turned the light and was startled by how bright they are - I have not seen anything like this light before. The light can be clipped onto your bike using the provided seat post mount or alternatively you can clip onto a bag, clothing or a waistband.

Visible from the side as well behind, this light has been designed with safety in mind and it shows.

There are 3 modes of use:

1. Flashing (battery life 21 hours)
2. Constant (battery life approx. 4 hours)
3. Chasing (battery life up to 124 hours)

If you are looking for a light that will keep you visible to traffic then, to my mind, for the overall cost and results this is the light you need.

Exceptional.

(NB: This light was supplied for an impartial review by the seller and I have no affiliation with the supplier in any form.)

2.0 out of 5 stars GOOD CONCEPT POOR PHYSICS!, 2 Mar 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Magic Marble In Space (App)
The idea is good enough but the physics of the game let it down so badly that it becomes unplayable on the Kindle Fire HD. You seemingly have no control over the speed of the marble and once it starts rolling it just seemed to build up speed.

What you are left with is a game that expects you to remember the path you took so that you try and make subtle differences early enough to keep the marble on track for longer.

This is of course virtually impossible as the game landscape is set in space and therefore features no reference points to memorise!

The developers need to tighten the physics of the game and maybe add in the sound of the marble rolling which would help with determining speed and coordination.
AVOID!

4.0 out of 5 stars DO THEY STILL MAKE PORTABLE DVD PLAYERS?!, 27 Feb 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Yes they do and this one is very good with a few exceptions. The screen, its not of its time and is the type of grainy low res display that we would have seen 10 years ago. The size of the player is quite thick but I'll come back to this. Sound is adequate but not brilliant. Connectivity is good and the addition of a USB out is worth a mention.

I think what we are looking at is this; did Philips have some old stock of 7 inch screens and full size DVD players left on the shelf and though bundle it together and voila "portable DVD player"? It seems this way, I may be wrong but put them together and this what you get.

Is that a bad thing? No.

Is it a great thing? Not really.

Does it do a job? Yes.

Is it overpriced? Yes.

Is it by a Brand you can trust? I would say so.

Will it last? Probably.

Could it be used on car journey? Yes and it has an adapter for a cigarette lighter socket. It will also open flat so all you would need to do is figure out how you can strap to the back of a front seat...

If you want a branded portable DVD player then this can provide what you are looking for. If you have not entered the world of digital downloads, smartphones and tablets (or find the cost to prohibitive) and still have a back catalogue of DVDs that you wish to play whilst away from home then this could be a slightly pricey perfect solution.

I'm just curious how many they will sell.

There is not a lot I can say about this other than it allows you to simply navigate your Kindle Fire HD through the folders in a similar way to a PC. It does what it does very well and as it's free today it's worthy of a download.

4.0 out of 5 stars VERY, VERY GOOD, 25 Feb 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Buka (App)
This does look and sound great on a Kindle Fire HD! The game is a pressure based idea that is very similar to the old classic Asteroids - avoid the bad stuff and make a dash for the powerups.

I could waffle on but there is no need as if you like Asteroids you are going to enjoy this!
