5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT TOOL, 12 Nov. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Great orbital sander. Bought mine to finish a wood work surface and have used on other similar jobs with good results. The key feature is the figure of 8 motion which helps avoid the repetitive circular sanding marks. Downside is that it comes with a dust catcher on the back but it's not infallible and some dust escapes but I have yet to find a tool that has ever managed to extract all the dust!

Ring Automotive RCT2 Emergency Travel Kit
Ring Automotive RCT2 Emergency Travel Kit
Price: £27.87

5.0 out of 5 stars SUPER VALUE, 12 Nov. 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I have always wanted an emergency kit for the car but I think that like quite a few people, I just never get around to putting one together. Just to preoccupied with other "important" stuff. Thankfully, the clever people at Ring have taken the pain out of it and put together this emergency kit and given it a bag to stop it all rolling around in the back of the car. The kit includes:

1 x Warning Triangle
1 x High Visibility Jacket
1 x Universal Bulb Kit
1 x Rubber Torch
1 x Pair of Cotton Gloves
1 x Set of Jump Leads
1 x First Aid Kit
1 x Foil Blanket
1 x Compact Carry Bag Product Dimensions (mm): H 215 x W 450 x D 100

The standout item for me is the triangle which is an excellent size and of good construction (see the image I've posted). For the price I simply can't fault it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but should be better, 7 Nov. 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
What do you want from your baby cam? If you want to watch your child and be alerted then you could buy this. You also get the added bonus of

300m range (so you can pop out to the corner shop and buy a four pack - just joking of course!!)
Out of range warning (always useful)
IR temperature sensor built into the handset so you can scan the temperature of milk or your baby's head
Two-way communication (baby starts to cry and you try and talk them out of it)
Infrared vision to see them in the dark
wall mount for the camera via screw in the wall and a slot in the base of the cam

The unit is good more or less all rounder but is it? Here's the fly in my sudocrem; the IR temp sensor is about as reliable as a toffee teapot and the result varied quite a lot (+/- 1.2 degrees in my trial). Far too much variation for watching a child's temperature. Now had they scrapped this idea and put in a room temperature sensor then I would have easily given this 5 stars but as it stands I can only give 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended, 30 Oct. 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I have wanted to conquer photoshop for years and just never had the time or a decent tutorial gto nudge and push me in the right direction. I suffer with the curse of having used Corel Draw in the 90s and 00s and it was a simple and straightforward system (which, like Photoshop, became more complicated and more powerful the more you got into it). The curse of Corel is that I always approached my dabbles with Photoshop in the same way that I used Corel, and this simply held me back. (I also used Photoshop before Adobe got their hands on it, and I swear it was easier back then!)

Thankfully, now that I have used this book, I'm at long last on my way to becoming more au fait with Photoshop and without this guide, which incidentally comes with a dvd full of tutorials (and the vids are also available on the website for the book) I would have been still stuck wondering will I ever be able to get to grips with it.

For me it's a simple 5 star book. Highly recomended.

5.0 out of 5 stars As a parent where care is a 24/7 need for vigilance, I can categorically recommend the ThermoScan., 29 Oct. 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Every parent should have one of these as the accuracy is excellent and it could, when used correctly, help manage a child or adult temperature back into a safer situation. But what if your child's life depended on it? What if you need to have a kit just in case your child is ill because illness could be catastrophic? Could you trust it to be accurate enough to manage a life-threatening situation? Well, our family situation is exactly this. We need to depend on our kit of equipment, and the Braun is now the centrepiece because of its reliability.

As a parent where care is a 24/7 need for vigilance, I can categorically recommend the ThermoScan.

5.0 out of 5 stars EVERY PHOTOGRAPHER SHOULD OWN AT LEAST ONE!, 29 Oct. 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
It is going to be one of the simplest items that you will have in your camera kit bag but if you have ever suffered the irritation of not having anywhere to put your lens cap or worse still, losing your lens cap then you can sleep well tonight as Hufa have just solved the problem for you. The clever part about it is that it is simply a clip that you attach your camera strap, but that is the point; it's simple. It does the job and helps you get on with the important stuff without needing to think where the lens cap is.

5.0 out of 5 stars SIMPLY GREAT, 23 Oct. 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Out of the box the Vax Air Reach is a good machine, and it cleans well on regular pile or hard floors. If you have a long pile carpet or maybe a rubber backed rug/mat then you might want to look for something that offers an adjustable cleaning height.

Unfortunately, the Vax does not have this adjustment and will get snagged on a long pile. It will also suck a rubber backed mat so hard that it will feel like you are trying to push a limpet around!

The tools are useful and the extra long hose is a bonus on stairs while the extra long flex means that you should not need to unplug and re-plug to often. Dirt and fluff pick up is excellent and when you are whizzing around on a hard floor you can turn the brush off and just vacuum (which helps when chasing dust bunnies!).

It's a lightweight vacuum with a great deal of power and suction, which is exactly what you want from a vacuum cleaner.

2.0 out of 5 stars FRUSTRATINGLY DISAPPOINTING, 23 Oct. 2014
This review is from: Kinetic Sand Box Set (Toy)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Kids love sand, and this is like sand, but it's purple, yet behaves a lot like the sand that is used by champion sand castle builders. In the box you get 4 moulds, quite a small tray for playing with the sand, and a bag of the aforementioned kinetic sand. The sand behaves really well and the moulds produce great results but there is no way that the illustration on the box is a representation of the amount of sand that you get in the pack (See my picture)! On one hand, this is a nice idea but it's poorly executed, and unfortunately the price point misses the mark.

Galt Toys Felt Friends Sewing Kit
Galt Toys Felt Friends Sewing Kit
Offered by 24/7 DIRECT
Price: £11.20

5.0 out of 5 stars A GREAT INTRODUCTION TO SEWING AND CRAFTING, 18 Oct. 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Sometimes, the simplest things can bring great pleasure and Galt have achieved this with the Felt Friends Sewing Kit. As you might tell from the picture, there are 5 critters to stitch together with the included wool and plastic needle, (each kit comes supplied in its own polybag with needle and wool). Thread the needle and just simply perform an in out stitch following the pre-punched holes and as you approach the end, stuff the animal and finish stitching. Safe for children, and a great dexterity challenge for smaller fingers but with the same net result - happy satisfied children all round.

5.0 out of 5 stars WORTH EVERY PENNY, 15 Oct. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
We have been looking for a dog proof ball for a long time. Having used the regular sponge type ball with a ball thrower for years and seeing how they deteriorate and can be chewed easily is hugely frustrating for a dog owner. Then we found the Chuckit Ultra Balls, and all I can say is that they are a revelation. We have a collie that this Summer has developed after 6 years into a ball ripper (no idea why but that's collies for you!), and a cocker that has always been a ball nibbler. Both dogs were seeing a ball off after day two.

With the Chuckit they have met their match, and the only way these balls can be beaten now is if they are lost. Neither dog can rip bits out or chew through them and therefore they are worth every penny. The only footnote note that I would add is about dogs that have a reputation for strong jaws and a determined attitude - Staffies, Mastiffs and Terriers, I think from my own experience of having a Staff makes me believe that while they may eventually get the better of the ball, it will definitely not be in the first two minutes of having the ball!! Buy and enjoy.
