Does exactly what it says on the tin really. Used it to connect my DJ mixer to my monitors via balanced outputs, no hum or anything so all good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and reliable, 6 Feb 2014

Does exactly what it says on the tin really! We put up a 6 foot tree in this without any issues, we were able to water it over the Christmas period to keep it shedding too many needles too which is good. Easy to use, cheap, sturdy, no complaints!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing record, and a total grower, 17 Sep 2013

This review is from: The Empyrean [VINYL] (Vinyl)
When I first heard this album, I wasn't entirely sure about it - after the excellent run of releases like The Will To Death and Curtains, this album had plenty to live up to. Ultimately though fans of Frusciante's earlier work won't be dissapointed, with the album delivering atmosphere in spades, particularly on the epic, melancholy opener "Before The Beginning". Worth a listen, and very much suited to the vinyl format - this is an album you should invest time and concentration on. Put the record on your turntable, sit down on the couch and immerse yourself in it; you'll feel rewarded for your efforts.

4.0 out of 5 stars THE Drum & Bass History Book, 12 Aug 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
For D&B/Jungle fans, this is THE book in terms of finding out about the history of the genre and it's evolution over the last twenty years. While some of the writing is patchy and the book sometimes feels a bit scattershot, skipping from one paragraph to the next with gleeful abandon, care has been taken to cover all aspects of drum & bass culture. More than that, there is an honesty to the writing and a genuine, earnest passion for the music which burns through on every page.

The author has taken the time to track down all the major players in the scene at the time of writing to get their opinions on everything from dubplates to pirate radio to who held the best raves. Forget the stylistic quibbles, content-wise this is essential reading.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice concept, but flawed execution, 12 Aug 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Having now read the first two volumes of Manhattan Projects, I like the concept of the books; an alternative vision of the project whereby the development of the atomic bomb was merely the public face of an Area 51 style establishment developing all sorts of crazy technology, making contact with aliens, etc.

The art style is interesting, and definitely a break from the usual over-glossy illustrations found in most Marvel books these days. My major complaint is that the reader is left to fill in a lot of the gaps in the storylines, and that the books (thusfar) have lacked much of an overall story arc, preferring to focus on individual stories from the projects, some of which are explained better than others. There is great characterisation in the books (the story of Oppenheimer's brother killing him and consuming his soul is a brilliant depiction of a fictional psychopath) but the stories feel meandering and sometimes it's difficult to work out exactly what is going on.

I'll probably pick up the third volume when it surfaces because I'm interested to see where they take the concept, but compared to the coherent storytelling of books like Saga this falls short.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and well designed, 1 Aug 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've been using this wallet for a couple of months now and it seems sturdy and well designed. The loops at the top provide a useful spot to attach keys, it has plenty of space for cards/drivers license and notes, my only complaint is that the coin pouch is really too small to be of much use, and the zip on it is rather stiff, making extracting the coins more difficult than it could be. Otherwise, great wallet!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not an Apple Product, and not good either, 1 Aug 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this item from Chicurl UK, who it turns out are based in China (which they do everything they can to hide). The adaptor took 3 weeks to arrive via China Post, and when it arrived it was not a genuine Apple product, rather it was a cheap knockoff designed to look similar. Better still, it didn't work properly! The seller issued me a full refund, but the product is a total waste of time - do not buy.

Seriously brilliant album. IDM-ish electronica but set to a very garagey beat structure...fans of u-ziq and the like should definitely investigate. Mellow, beautiful, but with enough of a beat to dance to.
