5.0 out of 5 stars Great weekend bag, 24 July 2014

Really good bag for weekend trips. Ideal for packing one extra pair of shows and clothes for a couple of days. My only gripe is that perhaps the inner pockets could have zips for valuables.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely perfect .... for a smaller camera or two., 24 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've been looking for something like this for about a year, and had resorted to cobbling together one of my own - but then happily came across this.

I have proper camera bags for proper jobs, but wanted something discreet and easy for travelling and just being out and about. This does exactly what I wanted: slides into an ordinary bag and protects my camera. (Ideal for hand luggage). I bought this for the Fuji XT1 and it is perfect. It leaves enough gap at the other end to fit either the X100 or my Leica or Nikon 35mm. It comes with four dividers: I used the small ones to create a double level base, thereby allowing both lens and body to be supported and the larger ones to split the compartment.

The one word of warning...What it won't do is take my DSLRs.... it might be OK for the small size entry level ones, but any of the serious ones are too big. It would fit with the lens off, but I never want to carry a camera with the lens off.

Tried repeatedly to fit this to my x100 with no luck... In the end I was more worried about damaging the thread in the shutter button. Consequently never used.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply great, 30 Oct 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Despite owning the 'original' UK series, (and not having got around to watching it yet), I was talked into seeing this by my girlfriend. I was initially sceptical since I'd wanted to see the UK one first, but after one episode I was totally hooked. Great characters, brilliantly shot, really good plot... Well worth seeing!

1.0 out of 5 stars Breaks and breaks again, 2 Aug 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
My camera is back in Germany AGAIN. The roller selector has broken AGAIN. When it last return from Germany I discovered the flash no longer popped up too but since a) I hardly ever use the flash and b) I was about to go away again and I didn't want to be without it for another FOUR weeks I thought I'd keep it on me instead. Big mistake. Now the roller selector broke AGAIN and it's gone back to Germany they say I've dropped it and it's not under warranty. Over 200 euro repair.

This camera has had four faults in 18 months. Flash doesn't pop up. Selector wheel broken (twice). When shooting in manual the menu screen pops up on the display and just rotates and rotates. (You have to turn the camera off and on again). And the zoom breaks and goes fuzzy. Again, turn the camera on and off again...

From a cheap brand I might expect this, but I bought a Leica because I wanted better.

Totally disillusioned with my Leica experience...

5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job, 14 May 2013

I'd read mixed reviews of these being difficult to fit, but mine went on with no problems at all. I can, however, easily see how it's one of those things that if it starts to go wrong, then it's not going to be savable.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not convinced... but we'll see, 13 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is just an initial reaction. (I haven't used it to shoot with yet). It is a very plasticky object. The tripod/hotshoe mount is all plastic and is an obvious weak point. (Anyone with external flashed with plastic connections will have seen this problem). The battery cover is really tight, and with it being thin plastic I can see it breaking before long. (Since I'm not concerned with looks, gaffa tape will no doubt come to the rescue). I bought a Manfrotto one rather than a cheap rival because I expected the quality to be a bit better. I frankly can't see how a cheaper one could be any worse made...

As regards the light though, it seems pretty good. Dimmer works well.

I'll probably buy a second cheaper one of another brand to use for on the fly off camera lighting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, 10 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I'd been a fan of Winogrand every since first seeing his work inthe early 90s... but had always struggled to find decent and acceptably priced publications. So I was really excited when I saw this catalogue available.

It certainly won't disappoint. A mamouth book with hundreds of images and some great writing. (Especially as regards posthumously printing Winogrand's work).

I bought this at it's inital price (as soon as it was available) and I'm still happy I did. Simply fabulous.

Well worth a read. Having read tens of conflict reporters memoirs, this stands up well against them all. Some fabulous summaries about the state of war correspondents 'friendships'. And truely touching moments regarding the loss of colleagues/friends.

3.0 out of 5 stars Malheureux, 10 Jan 2013

This review is from: Daido Moriyama (Paperback)
This is a great series of books and one that is becoming harder to find. I was pleased to get one about Moriyama only to discover, upon delivery, that it's the French version. So I can look at the pictures, but unless I fancy a long afternoon on google translate, then the text is pretty much lost on me! So just watch out when buying that you get an English version... unless you speak French, obviously.
