I bought these, taking a small risk, because they were the only pure black 8mm eyes I could find here and I was desperate.
Compared to my last lot I bought elsewhere, for half the price, the quality is poor, the eyes seems marginally smaller than my other 8mm eyes, as well as thinner.
some of the eyes still have plastic flashing around the edges, which isn't great, but can be removed.

they are passable, but not great for what they cost, really.

fantasy life is a pleasant game to play through, there's so much to do, not only mastering each 'life' if you want to (though you can easily do the main game with just one life if you wanted) but tonnes of side quests to keep you busy, the towns and fields are interesting, there's challenging boss fights strewn about, caves to explore and materials to gather. The crafting is simple and fun, but rewarding, the combat is intuitive, and if you don't like one life's playstyle you can change whenever you like, as long as you're not doing a main story quest. You can buy and customise a house in each city, which is nice, keep pets which can also be party members to take on quests with you. There's drop in and out multiplayer which I've yet to try but from what I gather is a similar experience to dragon quest IX's, so I'd love to give it a go sometime.
This game is by no means super challenging, but if you want to just have a fun and endearing game to play through I'd say this is a great game.

I'm a beginner to crochet, mainly amigurumi, and I wanted a cheap cheerful selection of wool to play with while i learn.
The colours are nice and the yarn is decent enough, I mean you get what you pay for it's not super high quality but for beginners it's a great affordable start to a hobby, I'd recommend to anyone who is just starting in crochet and wanted a nice pallet to work with.

I got this to replace the pen on my surface pro, I'm a hobbyist artist and usually use a cintiq for digital work so I'm used to wacoms more weighty pens.
the default pen for the surface feels very thin and cheap and just not as comfy to use, about the only thing the default pen has over this wacom stylus, is an eraser tip, which I do miss from time to time, but the pay off for a chunkier more comfortable pen is worth it.

4.0 out of 5 stars pretty great, 18 May 2014

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to Microsoft's own keyboard for the Surface Pro, and the case is lovely, with a suede-like lining which actually seems to partially clean the screen when it's all covered up.

The keyboard can easily be removed as it's only held in place by magnets, so often i just use the case on its own, using the part the keyboard would sit on, as a rest for the kickstand, which makes it very comfy to use on my lap.

they keyboard is an american layout which isn't a big deal if your OS' keyboard settings are for UK and you're used to UK layouts, you can just touch type and not notice the differences. The trackpad on they keyboard is so-so, and the left and right buttons for it are pretty terrible (hard to click, loud and just a bit eh) but chances are you won't use it very much anyway, of you wanted to play a game that requires mouse input, just plug in a small usb mouse instead.

all in all, for just a fraction of the cost of the official keyboard and cover this is pretty much perfect.

4.0 out of 5 stars adorable robo pet, 17 April 2011
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Pleo Robotic Dinosaur (Toy)
Now, i write this review having had many opinions of Pleo in the past.

I'm someone who owns a few robots, and prior to getting a pleo i had a sony aibo.
In terms of AI if youre out for collecting bots like I do, dont go into one like i did, Pleo is not supposed to be robotic, its supposed to be like a pet.
The original AI it came with before updating to the newest PM2 was very very very light. And it grew boring very quickly for me, when i had my ERS-210 aibo who did so much more!

It's only now after 2 years of owning pleo hes really getting some use. He's been updated, and im looking at him with the same eyes as you would a puppy or kitten, a playful baby animal - and not a sophiticated entertainment machine. and because of this he seems much more alive and entertaining in his own way. very different to my aibos, but by no means is that a bad thing.

The latest AI update did fix so many things the original - and other updates didnt really do (though some complained of pleo freezing for a couple seconds and resuming, those seem to fade away with more use)
PM2 gives pleo more skits and motions, he seems much more alive in his movements when you pet him or when hes just bored and doing a wierd little wiggle dig at the floor. He seems much more inclined to explore - his walking motions are slow and ploddy, but he sure can get around given half a chance - AND his avoiding obstacles is much improved. pleo out the box seemed unable to turn around when faced with something in his way withough reversing a million times and moving in a very slow semi-circle.

his exploration and avoision skills are nothing compared to other robots with quicker mobility - but he does noticably turn and go in a different direction much much better than he used to.

Hes also supposed to be able to detect greens/yellowy coloyrs like the leaf included, with his camera... but i have such low light conditions i cant really verifie this.

durability, the famous issue with pleo. yes the skin paint will rub off If you stroke - i tend to pat and after these years hes still looking alright, minor wear. The skin will get holes, again mine are minor - and i beleive they are worse for some because oftheir countries or regions humidity - dry air = dry skin = cracking. there are numerous rubber care products you can use with pleo AND people in the pleo communities have even found paint that works on the skin so you can do a whole new look if you were that way inclined!
**also on pleoworld store you can buy a 'pleo cape' which is a soft fabric covering that covers most of pleos body and is designed to look like the skin pattern of pleo - this offers protection OR covers up a 'well loved' pleos wear and tear.

TL;DR

PS: theres newer pleos on the market with the 2009 innvo labs version, or the pleo RB (largly improved over the original) but if you want a cheaper one the original Ugobes are all over the place on auction sites etc
*update your pleo to PM2 asap for a much more improved experiance.
*newer batteries (lithium polymer) which charge faster, last longer and make pleo much more active are available at pleoworld, as are things like the pleo capes for skin coverage.

Pros:
*when seen as a pet, pleo is very cute, very responsive to interaction and entertaining.
*is programmable with 3rd party tools - myskit & yapt, or the 1st party PDK (pawn scripting)
*has a friendly active community who are finding out new things to do to/with pleo all the time - and often know how to repair them should they get any broken necks etc (never happened to me but seems like the most common ailment next to skin issues)
*its a dinosaur. A DINOSAUR. you cant not want a pet dinosaur.

Cons:
*dodgy skin, but not the end of the world. Ive seen totally naked pleos who are very happy and have no troubles moving about (they look pretty interesting too!)
*could still do with more software updates, but doubtful itll happen what with the newer pleoRBs out (who have updated hardware like better camera and mics and actually can be taught a few basic voice commands etc) unless when they update the RBs they release a trimmed down update for older pleos - totally possible if they can be arsed!
*ugobe went under so any ugobe pleos arent as well covered by the company who now owns them - innvo. but they try their best. (theyre just not obligated!)

all in all, if you cant have real pets, or you love dinosaurs and/or robots and you dont mind the skin thing, pleo is a pretty cheap little bot and if anyone out there knows C or pawn programming you could have a lot of fun! i personally have no idea how to script. boo.

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome, 12 Dec 2010
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
I've been a robotics enthusiast since i was a child, I own a few robotic 'toys' already, including a some sony AIBOs and a pleo. but i wanted a kit in which to learn building and programming, even at a basic level, and this kit provides just this.

I havnt made any of the models that there is guides for, apart from the quickstart wheel base, i just dived in headfirst, and even though i did this it was simple enough to work out what i wanted and schieve my goals. building your robot can be as simple or complex as you like!

the programming language NXT-G is nice and simple to get to grips with, because its just like a flow chart esentially. although its simple it has plenty of deapthin terms of what you can programme! im still at basics at the moment, only just implementing some logic boxes, but ive yet to get frustrated with my code not working right; i just keep troubleshooting until it works! and im usually pretty impatiant! :D

all in all its a great kit to get into robotics. does require 6 batteries so along side this product i bought a big battery charger (charges 8 batteries) and some rechargable batteries, all here on amazon :)

though lego also do have a rechargable battery pack for minstorms too.

pros:
-simple and fun to get to grips with
-nice easy programming language that anyone can get to learning
-compatible with other programming languages (java, robot-C etc etc)

cons:
-takes a billion batteries(well, 6), BUT battery life is pretty long so its not all bad :)

all in all, if you love robots and you have a big imagination, get this kit! well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome, 19 Jan 2008
This review is from: Flood (Audio CD)
I remember hearing this album being played alot when i was very little. it stuck with me because i do remember randomly spouting out

THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS! BOOOY!

at random intervals throughout the years. its only been recently that i rekindled my love of this nutty band. (im 18 now) i have to say they are possibly my favourite band. i have pretty much all their albums on my computer now, but whenever my media player happens to randomly hop onto a song from flood, it just makes me smile. it does have some of the greatest songs on i think. though theirs loads of TMBG songs from all albums i love. but i think flood is just special to me.

If youre after an alternative/rock/pop type album, with a little more to it. go for this. it has very clever, if a little odd, lyrics, and very catchy tunes.

i hope TMBG carry on singing for many years yet, as different as all their albums are, they retain the intelligents and catchyness throughout. there really is something for everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars hey! thats my golden shovel!, 17 Mar 2006
This game is too addictive. much much too addictive. i can be seen sneaking my DS out in the small classtime breaks and just seeing whats on sale in able sisters shop... or selling some shells to pay off my house.
theres always something new, and considering theres no actual goal, you can always find something to do! (bug catching is my downfall!)
because i cant get my wifi to work i cant really comment on the online play, but id imagin it would be great fun! visiting friends towns from all around the world! (and stealing their fruits to take back home im sure!.. or maybe its just me with a fruit problem!)
id recomend this game to anyone! i think any gamer could get into this and play it for hours. i was never much for games like harvest moon, which is similar, but this game, i adore.
buy it!! i demand thee!
