5.0 out of 5 stars excellent product and excellent service., 29 Aug 2014
The jumper is very good and I am very pleased with the quality of the wool. I am also very pleased with the price which was very reasonable and I am very pleased with the speed of delivery (got it the next day)
I don't usually write any review because it is so dull... but in this case I must take the time as I think this seller is very very good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dream Book, 29 Jun 2009
This review is from: The Book of the Moon (Hardcover)
This is a dream book: the book that you thought you could find but never did... My only negative point are the typos here and there which suggests they went too fast.... There is a particular big mistake too...
anyway, nice book.

1.0 out of 5 stars I am biased, but I don't like it., 2 Nov 2008
This review is from: Little Dorrit [DVD] [2008] (DVD)
Obviously, I am biased... but I don't like this adaptation. I feel it is missing the point about what makes Dickens great. The twisted plot and the quaintness of the characters is the superficial side of Dickens. Deeper there is a great interest in people and an ability to see the frail humanity in everyone/all of us... The story is only a pretext, not the heart. The plot is so ludicrous that to tell it in details hijack all the subtle details of the characters... The best is either to read the book or get the 1988 film version with Alec Guinness and Derek Jacobi.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Adaptation, 27 July 2008
This review is from: Little Dorrit [1987] [DVD] (DVD)
Little Dorrit [1987] Great novels don't always give great films... but this is a great film based on a great novel. Maybe it is because the film is more a painting of the atmosphere rather than the mere story.... Many adaptations fail by trying too hard to tell the story... The story may only have been a pretext and the heart of a book maybe elsewhere... In this case the film has capture the heart, the spirit, of the book. Well worth having.

5.0 out of 5 stars An extraordinary film, 15 Jun 2006
This review is from: The Fool [1989] [DVD] (DVD)
An extraordinary film from Christine Edzard, who also directed Little Dorrit. The film has an atmospheric, almost Dickensian ambience. Jacobi is superb, underplaying his dual roles while clearly establishing two different characters. The supporting cast, especially Cyril Cusack, is also--forgive the repetition--superb. The subtle social satire regarding the haves' attitudes toward the havenots (and vice versa), is clearly relevant today.
