4.0 out of 5 stars Very good for the price, 22 April 2012

First, i must point out that i bought this trailer for £20 less than the current price at the time of writing. As soon as i ordered the price increased.

I bought this particular trailer because it appeared to be the only one for less than £100 which was compatible with Quick Release wheels. It is also compatible with old style threaded axles, but most bikes these days are QR.

The trailer is sturdily made from steel, this means that while it is quite heavy, it is very strong. It appears to be a clone of the BOB trailers which cost several hundred pounds. It's worth noting that single wheel trailers put more weight on your bike's back wheel than twin wheel trailers, and are more prone to trying to pull the bike over when you stop. However single wheel trailers are much more stable over bumps, and impossible to tip over. The rear wheel is 16" and seems well made, it rolls freely and the tyre looks to be good quality, with an all-round tread design. The small plastic mudguard keeps dirt off the bag itself.

The linkage to the bike pivots on two axes, vertically at the QR/axle attachment and horizontally at the join of the linkage and main trailer body. The attachment to the bike is via locking clips, which seem quite secure but are a little fiddly. Its worth checking the tightness of the nylock nuts here as mine were a little loose. Also the bolts dont seem to thread far enough in to contact the nylon in the nuts, so it's worth checking these regularly as they may vibrate loose over time. The locking mechanism does work though and the trailer can be attached or removed in under a minute.

One thing not mentioned in the description is that this trailer has suspension! Its only basic springs on a pivot, but it works VERY well, i could not feel the trailer going over bumps and pot-holes at all.

There is also a flag included which mounts at the rear of the bag, just inside the main cage.

The included bag is fluorescent orange rather than red, it's a dry-bag style, similar to Ortlieb panniers. The material is very sturdy and the roll top will keep out water. However, the seams are not sealer, so a small amount of water does get in when it's raining heavily. This is easily solved with some tent seam sealant.

The trailer does fold flat, but it's not something you'll want to be doing regularly as it involves removing quite a few parts.

Overall, highly recommended for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Its all been said before, 22 Jun. 2011
Most of the other reviews agree, sound quality is exceptional, testing back to back with a Bose Sounddock II, they both have simililar clarity, but the Philips is stronger on the deep bass. Build quality is excellent, the design is great, very "Apple".

Overall, i'd buy this again in a heartbeat.
