5.0 out of 5 stars An MP3 player that's fully loaded...., 23 April 2005
I don't know where to start when describing this little player....and that's exactly it. My friend had just bought an iPod MINI and in an attempt to out-do them I opted for the Cowon.
I admit that the Cowon is not as pretty as an iPod but the amount of features it harbours is where the Cowon iAudio5 really excels.
Aesthetics' - *** The jog dials feel a little cheap although the unit as a whole is very compact. Its not that sexy to look at, but you don't buy an MP3 player to look at it.
Weight - ***** (+ a bonus star) Without the battery (an AAA battery) it weights the same as a match box, no kidding! In fact you need to be careful of it jumping out of your pocket.
MP3 playing quality - ***** Great sound, customisable equaliser settings and 3d effects options.
Radio - ***** (+ 2 bonus stars) Get this, you can even set it to turn on at certain times and record directly off the radio. It can also record from the Radio in MP3 format. It sounds great even if your recording radio on the train!!
Oh and you can customise the backlight settings, use direct encoding to record from any device with a headphone jack and also sing along with lyrics to your MP3's. There's too many functions to talk about.
In summary, you won't be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars If only more text books were written like this..., 13 Mar. 2005
I can't even begin to explain how well constructed this book is. It tackles the fundamental elements of Leadership theory and systematically explains the strengths, limitations and history behind each theory, as well as giving useful insights into the ways and reasoning behind their development.
If you are studying for exams in Leadership (as I was) this book provides a great overview, and will enable you to answer those popular 'compare and contrast' one theory against another exam questions.
This book was worth every penny! I hope other authors of textbooks can take note.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great way to learn SQL from scratch, 13 Mar. 2005
The author has deliberately set out to create a book that assumes the reader has never used SQL before. It starts at the beginning with very simple tasks and works through more complex SQL as the book progresses. This book is nicely separated into small chapters so you can learn small chunks of precise material, and then come back later to learn a bit more.
It is also possible to download a training database, which accompanies the book - so you can try out, step-by-step, everything you read in the book.
I particularly like how the author quotes observations you are likely to witness when doing the tasks, so you understand the exact purpose behind entering each key stroke.
If you want to learn SQL from scratch or just need a book to jog your memory - look no further.
