Though initially put off by the hype about Kindle - how could it be that good? - I was given a standard Kindle as a present. After about a month I was so impressed I decided to invest in a Kindle Fire. Wow! At such a low priced machine it more than justified all that I had heard about it. I would recommend this product for its versatility, quality and performance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Avanti- Jack Lemmon, 17 Aug 2011
This review is from: Avanti! [DVD] (DVD)
A much under-rated and almost ignored Billy Wilder/L A L Diamond comedy of manners. Jack Lemmon and Juliet Mills are the unlikely romantic pair with strong supporting performances from Clive Revill and Edward Andrews. Set in a laid-back Italy,Jack Lemmon plays a straight-laced businessman come to arrange his father's funeral after a fatal car crash who uncovers a surprising mystery which ultimately changes his life.Juliet Mills in possibly her best film performance brings a sense of bubbling fun to the plot. Special mention should be made of the infinitely versatile Clive Revill who seldom fails to amuse. This comedy is light, friendly and satisfying...go watch it!

A much under-rated film, this little gem is a masterclass of gentle comedy with perfect casting.Bogart in one of his last films demonstrates his lighter side reminiscent of his "African Queen" character and is ably supported by Peter Ustinov and Aldo Ray as escaped Devils Island convicts who "adopt"a bewildered Leo G. Carroll and his family and protect them from a splendidly unforgiving cousin, Basil Rathbone with the help of the family "pet" Adolf.Wonderful performances throughout.

Great horror-style comedy with struggling undertakers Vincent Price and Peter Lorre with Boris Karloff.Money, lust and alcohol all play a part in this murderous plot with veteran Basil Rathbone stealing the acting honours with his near cameo part.A late-night giggle.

Terrific performances from veterans Karloff,Lorre and Price and an interesting almost debut from a young Jack Nicholson make this macabre comedy a joy to watch.Pre-CGI special effects are still more than entertaining, particularly the magicians' duel.A classic Corman.
