Ideal for anyone who needs to know more about the plays fast!

5.0 out of 5 stars A true testimony to human spirit and emotion, 6 Jun. 2010
This review is from: The Good Soldiers (Paperback)
This isn't normally the type of book i'd read not for any paticular reason just that books on war don't tend to grab my attention. I was gifted The Good soldiers by a friend and i can now honestly say that it is one of the best books i have read. The author using the minimal amount of words required truly depicted the raw and unimaginable feeling of those soldiers and families living with the day to day realities of war. The book itself is not over written or fact laiden but clever crisp and relevant to the story of what are just normal people doing an extraordinary job. Powerful, funny and on many occasions bought a tear to my eye, this book is a real gem and i'm so glad that i read it x

4.0 out of 5 stars NOT a bad album!!!, 2 April 2009
This review is from: Scream (Audio CD)
The third solo effort from the idol that is Chris Cornell, this album is very different from other albums, but it's changes in musical style and approaches that keeps Cornell relevant in the music industry. For me there are some really stand out moments on this record and the whole album just works, it's a damn site better than Carry On which verged on boring asides from a few songs. Give this album a try but listen with an open mind and you will see it's a really great album!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The day has come!!!!, 14 Sept. 2008
This review is from: Death Magnetic (Audio CD)
This album is awesome. metallica return in epic proportion, there is definitely a return to the older style of songwriting but with the bite of the metallica sound. the songs are epic, heavy and driven by some insane riffs. With a band as huge and controversial as metallica there was alot riding on this album to be amazing with no compremise, and for me it's just that (not that i expected any less). buy this album!!!!!! simple as that, you wont regret.

4.0 out of 5 stars good album and a great new sound!, 3 May 2008
This review is from: Konk/Rak (Audio CD)
i loved the kooks first album, and this is an impressive return. luke pritchard writes pretty much all the songs on the albums and really steps up to the always difficult second album. there's a different feeling with this new album and the sound is more mature and developed! the songs are more creative guitar wise and luke's vocals are very impressive! the second disc is a good effort and has a few different sound i hope they incorporate into future albums. the most exciting band around in british music at the moment and a solid effort!!!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars NOT A SPOILER!!!! Fantastic return from Mr Sansom!, 3 May 2008
fantastic return to form. this book continues the story of our hero Shardlake on his fourth adventure. it doesnt take long for the action to begin and this time the killings are more gruesome than ever!!! the plot and characters leave you guessing who did it until they're revealed but that could just be me. fantastic read and a nice gruesome depiction of england at it's most turbulent time!!!(less importantly of course)but very nice looking book as well!

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 30 Mar. 2008
This review is from: Revelations (Audio CD)
what an amazing album!!! the opening riff just blows your head off, make sure you turn the volume up to really enjoy it!! fantastically diverse and engaging. for me this album is the real coming together of these amazing songwriters the album sounds focused and delivers in all aspects. highlights are definitly 'revelations' 'shape of things to come' 'original fire' 'one and the same' to be honest i could happily name the enire album!! it's on repeat in my car and i find something new with every listen! this album is a must have without a shadow of a doubt, for me it's there best album! thats my personal opinion but i'll leave that for you to decide.

5.0 out of 5 stars the best one of the series!!! thrilling read!!, 16 Sept. 2007
i have to say i absolutely love the shardlake series. Sansoms attention to the finest detail without being overcomplicated truely brings to life the very smells, sounds and feeling of 16C England. the plot is very intense but were not confused with too many characters. as for the who dunnit!! i didn't have a clue until it was revealed?? but that could just be me. a real page turner and masterfully told c.j sansom has created a piece of real genious here. well recommended if you have a lust for real depiction of tudor England, and the best in the series which i highly recommend reading. Enjoy it!!

4.0 out of 5 stars a beautiful story, 29 Aug. 2007
This review is from: The Book Thief (Hardcover)
I ought this book after having read all the hype and good reviews it recieved on the interne. This is a beautiful story and the relationship between liesel and rudy and her papa was truely a pleasure reading and made me smile on many occassions! the let down to this though was the narrator telling you what will happen in the future which takes the edge off some of the later chapters, also the long and sometimes seemingly irrelevant descriptions of the sky get confusing and makes you wonder what the author is trying to achieve. but dont get me wrong this book is cleverly written and has some truley wonderful and heart warming moments and there are some characters that will live with you forever! well worth reading you'll not be dissapointed x

5.0 out of 5 stars outstanding read!!!!, 15 Aug. 2007
i read this book after having read sovereign but luckly there is no continuing plot!!!! the story itself i found took longer to get into and seemed less epic than sovereign but once the storyline grips you then your in for an amazing treat. Shardlake is a strong believable character and the character relationships and plots and sub-plots blew me away. masterfully told this book has everything a must read well worth the time and money
