5.0 out of 5 stars Brings back the scientist in me!, 30 Nov 2006
This book has carried on the great tradition of the New Scientist's Last Word Column in answering some (115) of those questions that you just don't know the answer to.

Questions like: Why does grilled cheese go stringy; What causes the noise when you crack your knuckles? and How does a (gun) silencer work?

If you liked Does Anything East Wasps? you'll love this. This is a brilliant book for people who want to know how things work and why things happen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Photoshop Album 2, 15 Mar 2006
This review is from: Photoshop Album v2 (CD-ROM)
A good product with simple and intuitive layout. You 'get photos' (import) from any folder on your hard drive and 'tag' them with people's names, locations or anything else you want to add.
Once the photos are tagged you can search using tags, colour similarity, or dates that photos were taken. If you want to edit photos it can do basic things in album (called fix photo) or it will open Photoshop (if you have it) for more complex editing.
Attaching photos to emails and exporting photos, to upload to online photographic album, are also easy to do.
A good, efficient, easy to use program.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keith's View of the Belkin USB IR Device, 27 Sep 2003
This compact IR device comes with a USB 1.1 Cable and floppy disk. Installation is an easy affair with step-by-step wizard. The IrDA v1.0 compliant transmitter/receiver connects quickly with my PDA and Nokia phone. It is compatible with most PDAs, PCs, and IR phones (according to the Belkin Web Site).
Much better than product specific cables, etc... I have had no problems with this excellent device.
