5.0 out of 5 stars I've got Christmas in my ears, 27 Nov 2012
They don't make songs like this any more - with clear influences from the Beatles this most certainly sounds like Christmas!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best UML book I've read, 26 Oct 2009
Larman has a fantastic way of making object-oriented analysis within an iterative approach appear like the most obvious idea in the world. Having read this book, I find myself returning to it again and again when I want to know the best practice approach. I would recommend this book to any functional architect, or indeed anyone who has an interest in doing things well. My only complaint would be that Larman is a little light in explaining the traceability between different requirements artefacts, but that's just me being pedantic!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for web browsing, 14 April 2009
This laptop totally fits the bill as a netbook. Never designed for long periods of typing, this has all that you need from a netbook. Keys take a little getting used to, but I can happily touch-type using them now.

Can really recommend for standard web browsing, opening the occasional email attachements, and email.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great tripod collar, 14 April 2009
I purchased a long zoom lens which didn't have a tripod foot, and was looking for a cheap(ish) tripod collar to hold it in place. This product is really good, with a quick release for the camera body, and a velcro strap over the lens. The fact that the length is adjustable is ideal, and there are multiple tripod threads in the bottom to allow for tripod positioning at the centre of balance.

The only reason this is a 4 rather than a 5 is that it's not particularly stable for portrait orientated photos. For landscape, the lens rests on a V-shaped mount, and is secured by velcro, but for portrait, it just relies on the velcro holding it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Loosens over time, 14 April 2009
If you're looking for a hand grinder, this is great. After a few months though, the handle kept on loosening, no matter how tightly I re-screwed it. This then affected the size of the grind. I then got lazy, and bought an electric grinder!

4.0 out of 5 stars Managing Information Systems, 14 Oct 2002
This is a very useful for book for both management students and computer science students who wish to know more about the impact of their programs on the business community. It is well set out and very clear, with easy to read diagrams and references to other books of the same subject matter. I would recommend this quite highly to any undergraduate who is just starting to learn about business. I cannot find fault with this book...yet!
