Soon as I got home last night found tha there was a copy of this book waiting for me on the door mat. In eager anticipation I ripped open the Amazon pack and extracted the surprisingly (I thought that it would be thicker) but welcoming site of a slim book that it will be easy to open and browse.
Not wanting to waste another minute, except to put on the kettle (well fill with water and press the switch ), I read the introduction - great! Easy to read, says lots of things I agree with about scoring systems and awards and making whisky affordable so that it can be drunk and not put on display.
Have read around 12 of the whiskies that I know well- they read well and encourage the reader to try them and they come with just the right amount of background information - the interested reader can always find out more information on a specific distillery by looking elsewhere Glenglassaugh: A Distillery Reborn
From what I have read it is going to be an easy to read and most enjoyable as well as informative - well done.
